The person that called from this number was soliciting donations to the police benevolent fund. Or so they say.

They call and hang up

Male called me and wanted donations for school kids clothing and food - I hung up.

I received a call from 561-296-1970 when I answered there was no one there

All iI got was name not found on my caller I D it really upsets me when I get a name not found  !!!!!!!!if you cannot identify your self than don't  call

Received a call from 561-296-1970 said they were collecting $15.00 for the St. Lucie County Police in Florida.  They would send me the information I need to donate.  A man said Hello then put a woman on the phone. Going to call the police and see if this is  legit.

Same as the other callers.  If you have call blocking, it will most likely solve the unwanted calls from this number.

Calling from a 561 area code to solicit donations for the St Lucie County Police.... um, I don't think so.  Hang up!

Picked up the phone and there was no one at the other end.  Most likely a "sucker call" to see if anyone at home will pick up the phone.
