Called me twice in an half hour @ 6:23 am and 6:50am. When I called back the first time it was busy and the second time someone with a heavy accent answered saying Department of Legal Affairs.  I feel like it would list that sort of number when I reverse look it up, might be a scam.  I only called it back because when I did look it up it said it was out of Bellflower/Ceratios, California and I have family there.

Received two phone messages within 30 minutes from a man with a heavy accent telling me that it was regarding federal criminal activity.  Called back and he knew my name and said he is with the US Treasury.  I demanded to know why he was calling me and he hung up.

I got 2 calls and 2 messages from the same number I did not answer or did i listen to the messages the calls were at 6:48 am and again at 7:33 am i know it is a scam

This number is being used to scam people out of money. I spoke with Fiona.They state that a case had been filed against me. I told them that I had been getting a lot of calls like this and they will need to take it to the courts and I'll deal with it there. they hung up. I called back and got a Richard and told him that I was just speaking with Fiona and we got disconnected. He asked my name and I gave it as George and he repeated it as Christopher. Said good bye and hung up. I called again and got a third person who hung up on me. I then use mu land line to call back and got a disconnected message from Verizon.  I called again and Fiona answered. When I identified myself she hung up. I called again and since then this number is no longer valid.

That number left a message on my home phone. I called back. He said : "do you want me arrested? you filed 2012 tax incorrectly. you owe tax. ". I said I don't owe anything. you can send me information in the mail. then he hung up on me.

Just got a call telling me they have a case against me for tax evasion and am going to be prosecuted!
This is not the first number I have been called from...they are coming from all over the country.  This ones name was Dominic and when I asked him what country he was from he hung up...just another scam.  ALL of the ones I have received have had HEAVY foreign accents.  Called the FBI and they told me to use call screening and don't call them back ...I have used *60 and have the numbers eliminated...I have quite a list!  The treasury dept. never makes phone calls..they send letters...DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THESE CALLS SERIOUSLY!

This number keeps calling me and caller identifies himself as Steve Martin (with a very heavy Indian accent, so I don't believe that is his name), last time he called it was Dan Martin. Claims to be from the US Treasury Dept and I am going to be arrested for non payment of taxes. Call back and takes a very long time for someone to answer. Told the guy to stop calling me and didn't know the US Treasury is operating out of India now.

WOW, I talked to "Steve Martin" yesterday.  Same conversation as yourself.  He told me was with the US Treasury and I am going to be arrested also.  Dirty scumbags!

"Steve Martin" just called me and left a message I didn't even listen to.  i had a call from him a few weeks ago, same [***].  I called back and the girl answered "United States Treasury" and I told her to [***] off.

I called the police after 4 times calling them and getting hung up on. They asked for my name, I said you called me telling me I could be arrested, you tell me who you are looking for, they kept hanging up.  Oh and his name was Steve Martin, that fits since he such a joker, he said he was from US Treasury but the same person answered each time.

I got the same two calls a half hour apart. Couldn't understand where calling from, but the caller said it involved the US Treasury Department, and if I didn't call back, I could go before a magistrate or grand jury!

This person called my cell phone seven times this morning during the early morning hours.  He left multiple messages on my voice mail.  The number says it is in Paramount, CA on my caller ID.  He told me his name was Steve Martin (the actor?), he has a heavy middle eastern accent, he claims that he is from the United States Treasury Department and that I will have to appear in court (some form that doesn't exist in the United States of course) if I ignore his calls.  Of course, the terminology he chooses to use is all ignorantly inaccurate.  When I returned the call, he answers the phone every time, but he claims to have a different, typical, American name each time or simply says "Department of Treasury" (what happened to the automated phone system?).  When I tell him that he is a fraud who needs to quit calling me, he hangs up.  Yet, when I call back, he answers again.  I have reported his information to the Federal Trade Commission.  I encourage anyone else to do the same.  You can do so online at http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0076-phone-scams.  I have even noticed that there is now & individual who has posted a youtube video of "Steve Martin the scammer", & the message he recorded is identical to the one left multiple times on my voice mail.

I have received three calls from this number and there is a delay in any answer on their end.... assumed robo-calling.  I didn't have the joy of speaking to the man with an accent from the Treasury Department.  I will ask to speak to his supervisor.  Thanks for the heads up.

Here's the audio voice mail many are getting from this criminal 'Steve Martin' idiot via 562-361-8926. They're using a new number as last month it was from 559-800-7991

4 robocalls today from this Steve Martin asking me to call that number. Since I never answer that phone, I'm simply deleting the messages!!

I keep getting these calls saying I need to call back because they want to help me avoid legal action - how do I make them stop?

He's a persistent little guy.   Keeps ROBO calling me back.   Has he not heard of the internet.  Black balled already.  If we could Yelp him, he'd be out of business.   Thanks for the notes.   Seems like law enforcement would do something about an impersonation of a federal agency.
