This moran called from Google listings, he said that I (my business) would be removed from google searches if I didn't pay for my listing, he then had me look up a web site that did no pay and google listed that business as closed (whether it was or not I do not know) But This is extortion!!!!!
I aske dthis person to not call me again, I also asked for his superviser, and he said he was is own superviser what a joke, If he is  in fact working for google God Help Them!!

A google number scam. Dont bother.

Google Is Intrusive !  They take pictures of us , call us all the time . I asked to be taken off there call list years ago . They laugh at me . [***] them , class action law suit !

Don't put down a small business owner. He continued to be a complete jerk and when I said I would have to speak to my partner about it HE HUNG UP. Wht a joke he must really be trying to get my $299!!

These idiots called our business today at 1258 hours with the usual Google-based scam.  An illegal pre-recorded message, calling themselves "Google Places," warning us that our business website has not yet been claimed and so on and so forth.  That's funny seeing our business doesn't even have a website.  Very likely a spoofed phone number to make it harder for the FCC to track them down.  Gave the option of speaking with a live "Google Places representative" or "Press 2 to be removed from the list."

Our small company gets these Google-based scam calls several times a month minimum and sometimes several times a week.  Are there really that many suckers in the world for them to keep trying the same scam over and over again?

These people are relentless. It tells you to press 2 or 9 to have your number removed...ya right... have been doing so for 2 years now.

NEVER push the button to be removed. These people are not Google and your number will not be removed. It will be confirmed in their computer system as a valid number and it will be sold to other marketers. You will get MORE calls by pressing to be removed. Just delete and or block.

This IDIOT called me and said he was calling from "Google Places". Then he went on to explain that my business wasn't "optimized". I had him look up a search term and showed him that I had 9 of the 10 listing in Google, and the only one I didn't have was the yellow pages web site, where my business is the #1 listing there. I asked him how HIS business did in the Google search. He said our business doesn't  use that technology. So they help other people upgrade their search results but they don't use Google? I asked him if he was employed by Google and he said no, "but we're as close as you're ever going to get to Google". What the hell does that mean? This was one of the most STUPID people I've ever spoken with which explains why he has had to resort to telemarketing to scratch out a living.

So I just got a call from a person who claims to be a Google Places agent saying if I dont pay $349 they will take my listing off Google. Really??? Since when has Google became a company that hires people to threaten their clients ??? WHAT A SCAMMER !!!

i received a call from this number and most likely hung up when they realized i was a business.

I got a calle from 805-408-8107  cell phone it said, I answered it.  It was a recorded message for google bs.  Then about 20 minutes later I get a call from 562-387-1004 it said Seal Beach, Ca.  I didn't answer it, there was a half left voice mail message for google.  Just don't answer the phone, and if they start being rude, just hang up.

Google Number Scam - do not bother!

Very Rude Call Center - Asked to be removed from call list and was called an [***] and told to go [***] Myself.

These idiots have been calling my shop for days. I asked Mike, then Jeff to please remove me from the call list.  They each were very rude, called me names and hung up on me.  I would hope that Google would pursue these morons and prosecute them.
