I got a call from (562) 398-3829 or 562-398-3829. They claim to be from "Department of Legal Affairs" and there was some legal thing started against me. Probably a scam.

I also got a call from them.  It's totally a scam, they hung up on me when I started asking the hard questions.

Total scam...could give me any info and it sounded like a phone call center in the backround..

Got a similar call, this time a sketchy Russian dude telling me that he was from US Treasury. After laughing at him, reminding him that US Gov operates via certified mail and that they tend to operate during business hours, he yelled at me saying, "You tell your wife she is going to be arrested!"

We reported it to our local police department.

Me too. Left a message. Very hard to understand through the accent.

"If you are too busy to call me back I suggest you have your lawyer do so to avoid a big legal mess for you."

Sketchy.

Same here. Very hard to understand; I played the message back about 5 times. Return dialing says "The Magic Jack customer you are trying to reach is busy. Please leave a message."

Got a call from this number today and as stated above they said they were the state of California legal affairs dept. and that myself or a lawyer needs to contact them right away. The caller also left their name which was Adam Walker. It's probably a scam and I will probably be contacting my states attorney general.

I just got the same call Chris walker tell me I owed 4000 from 2007 I had a warrant if I didn't pay they wouldn't let me get off the phone to call my husband said I would be arrested gave me a heart attack I was so scared it was real.

I received a call from a Frank Nord (with an accent & it sounded like a busy call center in background) stating he was from Legal Department of US Treasury.  Every question I asked was answered this was a legal matter and would only speak with heaad of household.  Reported to police - total scam!  all the other posts are exactly in line with my experience as well, including the almost heart attack thinking I had no recourse to address it-

got a call from 562-398-3829. they stated we owe the us treasury money and we are criminals.

I just received a call from this number as well stating something about an important legal matter.  I couldn't understand hardly anything "Jordan" from the Department of Legal Affairs said, but like everyone else, I am supposed to call back right away...

one stupid named adam woods just call me asking for $4752.00  or I will get arrest within an hour if I don't pay

I just received a call from "Adam Walker" if that is his real name. Thick accent, hard to understand. Total scam. Glad to know I'm not the only one who has been bothered by this pest.

I also received this call from the "Dept of legal affairs", Frank Todd or Nodd.  Something about serious legal issues and needing to get a lawyer  if I do not call him back.  Do not call back, a definite scam.

Phone Scam:  Got a call today from a man calling himself Adam Walker.  He claimed to be calling from The Department of Legal Affiairs.  The call back number he left was 562-398-3829.  His message was unclear, perhaps intentionally.  He said this was a verbal notification of something regarding some action which happened against my name.  He said something to suggest I would need an Attorney.  I did not return his call and have no plans to speak with him.

Got phone message as described above.  Phone call was addressed to my son who lives in CA.  Advised me to get a lawyer.  Difficult to understand voice as there was a lot of background noise.

I got a call from 562-398-3829. They said they were from the dept. of legal affairs us treasury and the mans name was adam walker. I then spoke to Rose Gilbert about this matter. They told me I was a criminal and going to jail, then hung up on me. I googled the number and found it to be a definite scam. Then I called back and played around with them. i told them I wanted to make a payment, pretended to be somebody else and in general just wasted their time and frustrated them. The more time I have them on the phone dealing with me, the less time they have to scam somebody else.

I received a voice message from "Adam Walker from the Department of Legal Affairs" claiming that I had some sort of "enforcement action" against me.  He had a heavy Russian accent, he talked really slow, and he messed up say the words "Legal Affairs" so he had to restate it; almost as if he was reading from a script for the first time in English.  The call was very choppy and much of what he was saying I could not make out.  He advised me to call back at 562-398-3829 and if I could not to have my representing attorney call or I would be placed on some sort of "legal misreader?" (I really couldn't understand him).  I registered the complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
