    Chelley,

We are a business located in Archbald PA.  If you call the number back and speak with a rep they will let you know the reason for the call.  It's not a sales or telemarketing call.

    Annoying phone call,

I apologize that we keep calling you.  If you answer and simply tell the person you speak with that you do not want to be called they will gladly remove the number.  We do not make random sales or telemarketing calls so you may want to ask the reason you are being contacted as well.  In any case if you do not want to be called simply answer and allow the rep to remove the phone number.

Funny....Im reading these post and This number calls me non stop if you leave a message I will call back but oddly enough on my caller ID at qork and my phone do not show USCB Corporation, I just spoke to a lady and she was nice but did state this was a attempt to collect a debt , I toke the number and told her I would call back...... But the funnest thing is I have never received anything in the mail from them and i have been in BK for one year. NOTE: Caller ID says 800-service wth is that Im so sick of scammers if in fact this is what is but just in case this is legit they do not handle things professionally. No Letter in the mail, I have been told in the past that I have to make a settlement or I will be pick uup by the cops,,,,, Everytime I get a call like this I report it to the FBI because .... your information can be stolen from internant alot of it overseas and it can not be traced..... Please be aware and take caution....Call your llocal police department they will tell you they can not pick you up the most anyone can do is serve you with court papers and when that happens then take action...Hopefully this helps eveyone because I exsperience this all the time and it did not start till i did a loan on line.......

    Not Happy,

Our phone system is providing (570)397-2001 so I'm not sure why it is not coming through on your caller id.  We have not seen that problem with anyone else.

I can't say why you haven't received a letter in the mail.  It may be on it's way, it could be that we have the wrong address, or possibly we sent the letter and you mistakenly threw it away as junk mail.  We would be happy to send another if you need one.

We handle ourselves professionally.  We send the required letters and we DO NOT EVER threaten people with arrest.  It just does not happen here.  We record all calls and we can prove what is being said.  You are flat out wrong about us.

If your are in bankruptcy like you say, then please let one of our reps know that so they can properly code your account and stop calls.  If you need another letter or need assistance in any way, please let a rep know and we will help in anyway we can.

    USCB,

Anyone can be writing and posing as you.  From personal experience, I have to disagree with what I am seeing here.  This number keeps calling my cell phone.  I don't give it out - PERIOD.  It's for emergencies (ME calling OUT), so unknown people and companies should not be calling.  Yet, I keep getting calls that never leave a message.  I don't answer calls from unknown numbers.

And, I did call this number back to see who it was and I was treated VERY rudely by some woman.  I asked what company it was.  She refused to tell me until I told her my info.  YOU called ME.  I don't give out my personal info to people I don't know.  If you are a legitimate business, ACT like one.

And, since we've all pretty much deduced that this is a collection agency, I can assure you that you've got a WRONG NUMBER because I'm not, nor have I been, behind on anything.  Trouble is, you try to tell a collection agency they have a wrong number and they don't believe you.  After all, anyone in collections is likely to say that to get the collectors to stop.  However, deadbeats also give out wrong info on purpose so they can't be hounded.  Unfortunately, the owner of the number they give pays the price.

You've been reported to the FTC/FCC and I will continue to report each call as harassment since you can't conduct yourselves appropriately.

    Skeptical,

I apologize if we called you as a wrong number.  Please know that it is never intentional or desired to call wrong numbers.  Unfortunately in this day and age there are so many people changing numbers all the time that this often does occur.  Even though you don't give that number out doesn't mean that it has not made it's way out there.  It's very possible that the number was someone else's before you.  It's a very common practice of service providers to recycle phone numbers.  It could even be that someone simply missed typed there own number when filling something out.  There's also the chance someone gave out a bogus number as you stated.  In any case I apologize for the calls.

I would like to make sure your number is marked correctly so if I can help please call in and ask for Ron.  Tell them you need to speak with him regarding a phone number problem.  He will help, and be able to locate your call for review so we can properly address the agent you spoke with.  We simply do not accept our reps being anything but professional and curtious.   I've also put out a company wide memo illustrating your complaint and the clear message that this cannot occur in any customer interactions, including wrong numbers.

Again, I apologize you were not happy with your interaction with our company.  If you have the time, I would appreciate if you called in again so that a manager could review and address the agent personally.

I have received the same message.  Someone calls me from this number and speaks in an indian voice and says they are going to send someone to pick me up.  They never send you anything in the mail but expect you to give them all of your personal information along with your credit card number or check number.  SCAMMERS!!!!!!!  Get a job like everyone else instead of stealing money from hard working people that actually work.....

Below is a copy of what I posted on 800notes.  I reiterate:  These people often buy junk debt that has been sold many times over.  They don't care that they are calling the wrong people.  It is their way of getting us to do their detective work.  They simply auto dial all the numbers associated with the name.  Heaven help you if, like me, you have a common last name.  I was called repeatedly for someone I never heard of.  Interestingly the debt was always a Firestone credit card and the calls came from 5 different agencies over the course of 4 years.  If these people were competent and ethical, they would remove or tell the new buyers of this debt which numbers have been eliminated but they do not.  I find such companies despicable because they make no effort to find the right person.  In less than one "google search" I was able to zero in on the two people most likely to be the candidates for the afore mentioned debt.  Grow up.  Run your business like professionals.  Do your homework and stop bothering those who have NO business with you.

Here is my post from the "other" web page.

I feel compelled to post one more time.  Because of my common last name, I've received about a dozen debt collection calls over the last 6 years.  Each time, it is clearly not me or my husband but each time I suffer the stress of a possible erroneous debt affecting me.  If you think for a moment that these companies only want to collect from the debtor you are sorely mistaken.  Here is the link to an article that appeared in the Los Angeles times about 18 months ago.

    http://articles.latimes.com/2010/dec/19/business/la-fi-perfin-20101219

These companies often buy junk debt and don't really care who pays it as long as they get their money.  The stress and anxiety they cause to those who receive erroneous calls is irrelevant to them.  If they did their homework they would easily reduce or eliminate erroneous calls but they have no reason to.  It's easier to have a computer dial everyone with the same last name, then sit back and wait for the "suckers" to call back.  I find these tactics despicable.  Send letters with all relevant information.  If you have our phone numbers, you have our addresses.  If you don't, you're really bad at  your job.  When those of us who receive numerous erroneous calls have the written information in front of us, we can easily choose to ignore it.  We can't do that with phone calls that are furtive and frightening.  Grow up.  You want to buy junk debt and go after people, more power to you but you do not have the right to involve those of us who pay our bills and carry no debt in your slimy process.

I don't know what the general practice is for USCB, but what gives you the right to contact my in-laws asking to speak with me and leave a message? I'm not aware of being in collections for anything where those companies don't have my direct numbers because I am out of work and have been now for 4 years. But the ones that I owe, know this and know how to contact me and have been working with me on payments. They also know better than to contact my in-laws just because they live on the same street and because my husband and his father have the same name. I will be filing a complaint about this and when I call your company you can better believe the usual rep answering the phone will NOT want to talk with me.

Why should we call somebody back that cant leave a dam voicemail saying who they or and why they calling. I had this numbet call me many times and i picked up and the guy i was talking to said that if i didnt pay them for a online payday loan that he has going to call the cops on me and have me put in jail. For one i never had a online payday loan in my life and two you can put some one in jail for no payment u can take them to court for it but u have to send a letter to them first and u need to send more then one letter to make sure they get at lease one of the letters. And the same thing happend to a few of my friends and my sister so if the samething keeps happening to diff people then something its right. And if your a real bussness then you should know that you cant put people in jail for non payment. So who ever you are you need to grow the [***] up and get a life.

I have received numerous phone calls from this company over the last week.  They have left messages or have disconnected me when I have answered the phone (they actually put you on hold when you answer and you have to wait for someone on their end to pick up.  And when they do pick up you get disconnected).  The person they are trying to contact does NOT live at my address nor does this person have my phone number.  Their phone contact information is incorrect but I'll be damned if I'm going to spend a red cent of my own money to call them back.  Would really be nice if they had/left an 800 number.
