receive many calls. when i pick up, usually no one is there. today, i waited and a rude rep from some electric company began speaking. when i asked to be placed on their "do no call" list, he hung up on me.

    Curious Why?
Got 3 calls today, nobody there.  Called the number back it didn't ring, just clicked.  Hate the harassment.  I'm on the Do Not Call list.  What a pain in the neck these people are.

I have the same story like all of them, they keep on calling, calling & calling.
I once called back a recording came up that "Your call is very important to us, please stay on the line & you'll be transferred to the next available agent." & after nice music for 5 seconds I got disconnected.

i did pick up the Phone this morning 3/8/2014 and I  did get a male person on the answer to my hello. he claimed to be a electrical supplier, and was going to save me on my electrical supply cost.  I laughed and told him (and i did do this 3/4/14) I sent a complaint form to the NYS Attorney Generals office for be because Amplified power and gas  went from .1692 cents per kwh in January to .32065 cents per kwh.  1 days after i complained to Amplified , National grid  which was .19136 cents per kwh, and the letter to  the Attorney Generals office. as soon as i mentioned the letter to the AG  i heard a click. I had Recieved at least 8 phone calls from that number in 3 days i bet im off there list.

Oh and i and am going back to National Grid at this point. But unfortunately but both companies Amplified and National say i have to wait for the next meter ready for that to take place. and that was my second complaint to AG.  if i had known the price was going to double overnight, i would have changed the month before. no warning what so ever for that dramatic increase.  And just a FYI  in sept. 2013 we were paying .08 cents kwh, feb 2014  .32 cents..  makes you think..." what is the true meaning of Life?"

I have been getting hang ups from this same number.  Here is the main number for Amplified Power: 855-487-3396.  I just called them 20+ times and left annoying messages... to see how they like it.  You can get an actual human being at that number... they will claim they no longer offer service to residential addresses so they have no idea why someone is calling you.  I told the guy that I was filing a complaint with the AGs of NY and NJ and the BBB of both states as well.  If they call again... I will call them back 20 times for every time they call me.

It's hard to compete with so many educated people, but, the prices of power in the northeast are crazy this year, and are the highest in memory.  All these energy supply companies are charging crazy rates, and National Grid got a waiver from the PSC to freeze their rates in February.  That means, that they are going to spread out their loss over many months, but not shocking customers.  The cost of power being 20+ cents per kwh, how can they charge less without losing money?  Well, the PSC gives them that ability and they charge more for 6 months to recoup the loss, which makes it look like energy supply companies are doing something wrong.  They aren't though.  Energy supply companies don't get this option, so have to charge the rate up front, causing sticker shock, get complaints, etc...  It is very well documented all over the internet and even on the news about the sky rocketing of the cost of power this winter, and the rise in Natural Gas prices are the driving factor.  The AG and the PSC all know this already too, and can't really tell a company that they have to charge less than the cost of power, that would just be out of line and bordering on socialism and loss of business in America.  What should really be done, is that the generation companies that are the CAUSE of the higher costs, should be controlled more and not allow prices to go to $500 a megawatt (50 cents a kwh).  that is the problem.  Here is a link to an article that shows this: http://northcountrynow.com/business/electric- ... ercent-next-mon

That number isn't Amplified, it is Clear.  Clear is a phone company in Scranton, where the calls originate from.  They are calling all day and when you answer, they hang up.  I called Amplified and they only do Commercial marketing and even 3-way called that number with me and it hung up on us.  Clears main number is hard to find, but I found 877-237-0152
