Number called twice, one minute apart.  Caller ID read ELEC AUTHORITY   Probably wants me to switch electric suppliers.

I got a number from 570 983 3182 calling themselves Electric Authority. When I called back there was a recording that said if you want this number to be taken off your call list press one. Does anyone know what company this is?

Called my landline phone at 2:50PM on June 2, 2014.
When I answered the phone, there was no noise.
I said "hello" again, and caller hung up.

I'm fed up with this Elec Authority that kept calling the house.   I have to find a way to block this number because I read this web site that caller hung you up when you answer.

I received 5 calls so far today and have received calls from them in the past.  

Called me three times yesterday and twice today. Nobody there when I answered. Obnoxious. On my cell phone.

This number keeps calling but hangs up when answering machine comes on. Never a message .No ID nor message no pick up by us. I am on do not call list but appears to be useless especially on PA .

This outfit calls at at least twice a day and no one's there. I usually ignore it but they just keep calling...

I called the number and got the message that it was not a valid number. Since I didn't enter the number manually it was definitely correct. I just tried it again and got the recording allowing me to enter 1 to be removed from their call list. Entering 1 responded with an apology and promise to remove my number within 48 hours. My CID never identified anything beyond the 570-983-3182 source number. My phone was ringing 4+ times a day with nothing but dead silence when I answered. I hope the removal request is honored.

Just wanted to add that I hope by requesting removal from their call list they aren't just verifying they called a valid number.
