I'm on the National and KY DO NOT CALL list. These people called twice today. I can't find any reference to this number on the internet. I report all calls like this to the FCC and my State Attorney General, who is better than the FCC at making them stop (Fines).

I am also on the KY Do Not Call List and received a call at 2:39 pm eastern from 571-308-7951 and the caller ID read:  VIRGINA (all caps).  They asked for a certain member of our household, but wouldn't id themselve or leave a message.  Called the number back and received automated recording that this is the Free Enterprise Intstitute and Institute On Voter Attitudes and Public Policy.  The automated message provided an opportunity to leave my number if I chose not to participate.  Figured they already had my number so no harm trying their option to get off their call list since they already have my number.  AND, as a company associated with voting, they are exempt to State Do Not Call List.

It would be interesting to know if either of the two major political parties are behind this harassment.

They continue to call me 1 or 2 time each month. I tell them that I am on the Do Not Call List. They tell me that they are going to take me off but I still get called. This needs to stop!

I received a call from a young man reportedly calling for the Institute on Voter Attitudes.  There were only five questions - appeared to be a fishing expedition but no follow-up.  I guess I answered in a way which did not correspond to their expectations.

The caller was not aggressive.  There was no "attitude" and he was obviously working off a script.  I tried to find some information on the organization and telephone number with little success, though it does appear that some who have received the call assumed it was tied to a "right wing nut" group.  Unfortunately I am not sure I would label which side of the continuum they were leaning.

Company has called three times in a row. All three times I told them this is a business line and to stop calling. On 9/13, the woman asked who I was - because they were asking for my husband. I state my name, the company I worked for and I was instructing them to stop calling. At 8:13 PM the third call came in. I told them I was recording the call and I requested the company name, address, phone number. The woman gave me to her supervisor. He said he could not give the company name but they were a "teleservice" for a company that works for the "Institute of Voter Attitudes for the State of Kentucky". No business exists. I asked for his address and phone because the Attorney General requires this informationand he told me he could not disclose that, so I handed him over to my husband, whom proceeded to disclose his occupation and if he chose to take it further, he would.

I have received several phone calls from this number, which I have not answered. I don't appreciate the times (9:13p.m. on 9/14) since I have a 2 year old trying to go to bed. They have also called at 11:51a.m. and on 9/14, 8:35 on 9/11. I wish they would take the hint and stop calling.

I have been receiving calls from this number. They leave no message but call at all times during the day disrupting our lives. Please do not call the citizens of this great nation. We have better things to do. Please take all numbers from the state of Kentucky out of your call registry.

    Thanks

The number was on caller id. "VIRGINIA" with the number 571-308-7951. I called it back. Part of the greeting was "Voter attitude and policy". I searched whitepages.com. for this number. There was 0 results. This evening I submitted a US Search for the number. It has not been able to find it so far.

    Longmont CO Voter
A push-poll has been started to influence our upcoming local election.  This firm has been hired by those opposing candidate Karen Benker.  The questions that are posed are blatantly false in the information that they contain.  The purpose of the call is to convince the person called not to vote for this candidate.  The targeted audience appears to be those people who are inclined to vote for her.  The name of the organization is Institute on Voter Attitudes and Public Policy; it is affiliated with the Free Enterprise Institute, founded by Andrew J. Galambos, who believes in ABSOLUTE property rights.

As noted by the Longmont CO Voter, a push-pull poll has been started by a radical extremist group for the purpose of smearing Longmont city council member Karen Benker, one of the most honest city council persons our city has seen in a long, long time. These extremists are attempting to get Katie Witt elected for the purpose of furthering their agendas and they, along with some idiot local Longmont bloggers and others, are stooping to sleazy, slanderous tactics.

If you receive a call from this number, DO NOT answer. If you do not have caller ID and answer anyway, hang up immediately once they have identified themselves as "Institute on Voter Attitudes". This is a sleazy operation that is spreading lies in order to elect a less-than-upstanding council candidate in Katie Witt.

This is the second robo-call I have received from this group. Longmont, CO resident. I made the mistake of answering the first.

Website of the group push-polling. http://longmontleadership.com/

They're Teabaggers. I'm pissed. whois information on the domain is anonymous. I suppose it comes back to Katie Witt.

It's obvious from these comments that there are supporters of Karen Benker here. Her opponent is not funding these robocalls. Karen Benker is a city official. Who is running for re-election. Who has a voting record. Who has been under investigation for her questionable record.

Don't want to be contacted by push polls in elections? REMOVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER FROM THE COUNTY ELECTION OFFICE WHERE YOU ARE REGISTERED.

    Push poll rattles Benker supporters?
Karen Benker, IS NOT one of the most honest city council persons our city has seen in a long, long time.

A push poll regarding her seems to have rattled some of the commenters here.
Don't like it, ask her to resign. That will avoid any future calls regarding her.

If she perhaps wins the election, we will form a recall effort. We want honest and transparent government. Karen Benker is not right for Longmont.

lol... Yep. I gave this address to someone I suspected of astro-turfing in this case. Within an hour two posts show up from people who could have only found this page from the info I fed to them.

    [***]. Will they ever learn?

WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO REMOVE OUR PHONE NUMBERS? NO ORGANIZATION SHOULD BE ABLE TO CALL ME WITHOUT MY CONSENT.
Both me and my wife have received several calls, all since we updated our voter registration in boulder county.

I placed a complaint with KY Atty General and just got a response. They did an investiation on this number and stated that it is "Free Enterprise Institute, Inc." and they are exempt from the do not call list because "Monetary donations on behalf of charitable or non-profit organizations are exempte from state and federal do not call laws." Kinda funny that the person I spoke with identified themelves as "Institute of Voter Attitudes for the State of Kentucky".  And they did not state they were seeking donations for charitable and non-profit. I wonder how much money "Free Enterprise Institute, Inc." gets in commission of monetary donations for charitable/non-profit organizations get to call on their behalf?

Anyway, file a written complaint with your Attorney General and this organization will be forced to put your number on the DNC list.  Feel free to quote my information.
