Just received an "urgent" message from the IRS telling me that they are filling a lien on me and to immediately call them!  The IRS does not place phone calls!!

Message that IRS is suing me and to call & learn about this "case file". Same message from 224-659-9806 a few hours earlier.

same message -female announcer. Filing a lawsuit against me... pls call immediately.

Same as above. A female voice left a message. I don't have any IRS problems, of that I am sure.

just got call from IRS state they going to sue me

Said was IRS filing suite against me. When I tried to call back it was a busy line.

IRS say they were filing claim against me.

We did return the call knowing it was a scam. A guy answered and my husband told him to not call us as we knew he was a fake. Call ended in a yelling match. We also reported it to police.

Same as everyone else on this site.  They say the same recording in womens voice.  I called back and I told the person on the other end that I was on disability and they said they were sending a police officer to my home to see if I was actually disabled.  I told them that they were crazy to think that I would believe that the police now have medical training.  They continue to call me every few days at 8 am.  I am sick of it.  Because of my disability they have caused me great anxiety.  I wish I could sue there [***].

Just got a recording from this number stating they are the IRS and this is our FINAL NOTICE and that they would be taking us to court. We need to call them back at this number. There are 3 different sites listing this as a scam! Thanks everyone who took the time to comment and make sure their scam goes nowhere.

Just got the same is call. It's a scam

Called this # back knowing it was a scam. A man with a heavy accent answered and said it was indeed the IRS. I gave him a fake name and the phone# to my local police station to "look up my records". I told him I knew it was a scam and I started yelling obscenities, and he hung up.

Got a call from 571-599-8178, claiming to represent the IRS.  Have returned the call twice, getting a busy signal both times ... does anyone ever get a busy signal from the IRS?  This seems like a hoax.
