Claims to be from IRS and wants to settle outstanding tax liability

I just got the same call. Some idiot with an Indian accent who said his name is John Smith. I mean really!...John Smith

I got the same thing.  Guy had an accent, but it wasn't Indian accent.

Got a guy with an Indian accent calling saying his name was Riley Smith and he is calling from the IRS.  I stated that here in the US IRS does not call but sends a notification/letter to the people in question and if he called her one more time then I'll ensure that it is reported to the authorities!  He kept saying Maam listen Maam listen...And my response, don't you dare call back here again.  And hung up!  Where can we report these issues?  I really want these guys to one stop calling!!!!

Got call and left a message claiming he is John Smith from the Internal Revenue Service with an Indian accent, to call back to settle tax liability.

Sounds like [***] fraud!

Indian accent.  Said his name was officer Dave Miller.  Insisted on a call back from me or my attorney.  Wtf.  

This person call me saying he his officer Jason Miller. wants to speak to us or our attorney. leaving threats on my answering machine. when it is it going to stop?. Can some one do some thing about this arrangement. I would like to see they catch these crook as off NOW!

This person by the name Jason Miller called my home left a message on my home phone for my husband, stating there is a case that is badly imposing on you and if you choose to ignore this call and dont call back the only thing he can do is wish him luck! I could barely make out his words.. I called back and he said that my husband owe the IRS committed fraud didn't pay all of his taxes for 2010,2011 and 2012, So I said no thats not true and why the IRS didnt send this in writing? He said how because its a fraud the IRS do not send anything in writing, that they call... so I said its the law, it must be in writing and he got upset and told me, well wait for the cops then... and hang up! I really wish these people get caught and get put away for life

I've been getting and ignoring these Out of Area calls 3 times a day.  "Jason Miller" finally self the same message as the one Donna reported.  I knew it was a scam from his non-idiomatic English.

Just got home and got the same message from Officer Jason Miller. This person is crazy. This is a scam that this idiot ise trying to rip off people.

We don't answer our telephone anymore so got a voicemail from this number claiming that they were from the IRS and suing us.  This is a SCAM!  First, I would have a letter first from the IRS and I pay my taxes so I KNOW it is a SCAM!!!

It seems they are changing their tactic a little. Mine was Office Daniel Smith with the Internet Dragnet Service and it was imperative I call him back... I don't think so.

Just got a call who said ( Robot call by the way) to call this 585 number and they were the IRS).

Just got a call with an automated recording from this number saying the IRS was going to sue me.

received a call last week on a local number from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be with the local sherriff, who transferred me to another accented guy saying he was with the IRS and was filing a lawsuit for fraud

Yesterday day this number went as far as using our local sheriffs office number claiming to be a sheriff "James O'Conner" (our local has no one by that name) They asked that we call "Shawn Woods" at 585-283-8485 (NY area code).  Well it rang and rang when someone answered the guy was not there so we call the local sheriff's office.  During which time they called back but started yelling when we had the local dispatch on the other line.  Please don't give them any information...gather information from them becomes if you can find out if they have any of your information the law enforcement can start a case.  Let all help STOP this scam.
