Said they were the IRS on a robotic phone call, person ID'd with just a first name (no badge, no 800 #) and then ended the call with "Have a great day" or similar stupidity that civil servants are not known for.

I'm sure the first thing they will want is a SS# - and if it is the IRS, they'd have that and MUCH MORE.

I'm quite sure they may be called IRS, but it won't mean Internal Revenue Service - just to prevent them from Federal Fraud.

(585) 444‑711‍5 This is the latest number being used by IRS scammers for November 2014.  Ignore the threats from this robocaller.

Really sad that our country has come to this.  Nothing is save on the computer, cell phones or any other electronic communication.  And this is our FUTURE!!!!!!!!!!!! Go back to paper

Not sure why the IRS would be calling me, but if this is true please mail me a letter and we can take it from there.

Just got a call from them saying I had a warrant out for my arrest and they wanted to know if I had a lawyer. I laughed and said I do not have a warrant for my arrest. (I knew then that is was a scam). He then tells me I have a nice voice and asks how old I am. I hung up

Just got the robocall on Thanksgiving Day from a Julie Smith to return call to this number.

There were two phone numbers 585-444-7131 &585-444-7115 called me at my home phone pretending they were from IRS. I didn't believe them because I know that they're BIG scammers. IRS will not call to ask for information. They are so desperate to get some money from a hard working citizens.

Robotic call says calling from IRS, call back asap otherwise legal action will be taken against you.

Received poorly recorded message from obviously fake IRS twice now.  Threatening action.  They want me to call: 585-444-7115.  I reported the calls to the irs.

The recorded msg that called my cell from 585 444-7115 very clearly identified themselves as "internal revenue service ", and are claiming to take legal action if I didn't return the call. This is a scam!
The IRS will always mail you something first!

Someone Called from this number, and states they are from the IRS....never known IRS to make phone calls without a letter first! PLUS I live in a whole different state then where this call came in from ....#SCAM

Obvious scam..tried calling them back to have some fun but ring no answer on multiple occasion s.

Total scam - automated phone call stating a name & badge number from the IRS. Said that me or my 'retained attorney' should call back before they take action. They called 3 times today before I answered. I didn't call back because I don't pay the real IRS for taxes I owe so why would I pay them... lol

Total scam - just ignore and/or report to IRS!!

Mother in law received a msg saying they were IRS and to "not disregard this call or action will be taken against you". Obvious scam. We laughed then erased the message. Losers.

I received a call from 585-444-7115. Caller left a voice message on my cell phone. It said, I'm calling from IRS. Call back immediately or else IRS will take action against you. I called back but nobody picked up the phone. I called back again and said, I'll not give information on the phone. If there is a problem, write a letter to me and I'll respond to your letter. It's a pure SCAM.

They are still at it. Just got the call,did not answer the robot.
