it's verizon wireless

I get this number ringing in at least twice a day - one of those during dinner hours . I made the mistake of picking up once and no one answered my "hello"s . If it was the actual Verizon, the one you pay your cell bill through , then why don't they respond when you pick up or why isn't it a toll-free or local number, or one that even remotely matches your monthly statements ? How can it be anything other than some sort of scam ?

I'm constantly getting calls on this number.  For those of you who think it's Verizon, think again.  I don't have an account w/ Verizon.

Its a rochester number I believe. Does anyone owe on student loans?

We get the call about every other day and for the life of us can not get our number taken off. We do not have a account Verizon. We now again are talking with  Verizon they say no way to help, also wrote letter to  the head of the Verizon. Got someone and the calls never stop...

I don't have a Verizon acct either, but I did call the number back and yes it was a Verizon number. I got a recorded message.

Calls never leaves message. Not Verizon.  Annoying
