calls from this number several times a day...who are these people?

Don't know how these morons got my cell phone and home phone number but I want them to stop right now!

ConServe a debt collection service. Asked for someone who doesn't have the number. Gave all the personal information about the guy over the phone, what a rube.

This is a scam said they were conserve dept collection they wanted my bank info and 3000 dollars for a student loan after I told them I didn't have the money they put me on hold they returned and said that they had talked to my boss to verify income they never called my boss losers

Miguel with Conserve called and claimed he was calling for my ex-roommate.
I said "I keep telling you people she moved to Japan 3 years ago". He says we've never spoken before, I said, I'm sorry I assumed you were a collection agency.  He said - he was calling because I was listed as a REFERENCE.  I assumed as a job.
But then he started asking me about contact info. for her (which if it was a job application he should have), then asking to speak to someone who "handles her estate".
So basically he lied.
Reported to DONOTCALL & will be sending CONSERVE a cease & Desist letter.

Attempting to get information about a third party that used to volunteer here by using false information.   Careful, they are cunning people !!!!!!

calls my home phone, nightly. says they are a consulting firm for private businesses[ guess they do debt collection by what I've read from others haha], He [young WASP]ask if this is my number and is very elusive in responses, when i said i want name removed from their calling list they said that I have to send in a letter of request but he didn't have his address and had to LOOK IT UP, he irritated me with his nonsense in stalling with giving me the address so much I hung up[surely this pranksters goal...very sad]

They collect for student loans, its not a scam.

They could collect for loans but I am receiving calls and I am still an active student. Therefore, I have no loans to pay back yet!
I do not believe anything that is just a phone call. The company that has my loans sends me letters and email updates. If it were legit, then I would have received something from them also.

got calls on my cell,  answered after the 3rd call at work.. trying to locate an old friend l no longer am in contact with.  I had my cell company block them and reported number to FTC..this is a skip trace company trying to locate people using illegal means

Called me 3 times today but did not answer.  So Glad i Googled the number and found this website.

I get several calls from these jerks.  I have a brand new phone number and none of these calls are for me.  If you have selective call forwarding, do what I did.  I forward their phone number to ANOTHER stupid collections agency that keeps calling me....and also, these are calling for the wrong person.  I figure I will just keep forward these collections agencies to another collection agency.

Message from them tonight on my answering machine. Since I graduated from college over 35 years ago and satisfied all college related obligations at that time I would consider this a scam for sure.

My Stafford was defaulted and collectors were calling me all hours of the night, by my Junior year of College.

When I contacted the US Dept of Education about the reason my Stafford was defaulted, when my contract specifically stated I had 6 mo. after leaving school, and I was obviously still in school, they replied, "We're the Federal Government, we can do anything we want."

And that IS the direct quote.

So, it might also be, the US Dept of Education is pulling the same crap.  You might want to find out.

called my office to "verify employment" -- my rule is NO information over the phone.  If legit, they can request via hard copy, so I have their information on file.

I just got a phone call feom this number and the person refused to identify himself or the purpose of the call. I also refused to answer his questions and hung up
