Claims to be IRS.  Its a scam.

Guy with heavy indian accent claiming to be from IRS criminal division, says if I did not call back the consequences would "fall on me."  He actually left me a message!

how irresponsible the FCC  (the federal  government) to allow cell phone #`s to be accessible to telemarkters ,and scammers and consumers have to pay for it ,and can do nothing about

This guy with heavy Indian accent claimed to be from IRS says I'm in big trouble unless I contact him immediately.

This number called 3 times in a row, finally left a message stating I had a tax deficiency and threatened me with legal action, etc., then called 2 more times until I picked up and screamed at them to stop calling me. I had to block this number. Very po'ed right now.

Same - guy with indian accent claiming to be IRS....sadly, I am a CPA and have already audited the IRS several times

He has very strong accent and claimed from IRS; He has called me multiple times, saying that I have to return his call because legal tax problem. It's a big scam.

Sam Higgins and his thick Indian accent left me a message today. Horrible connection and poor enunciation made it hard to decipher, but I finally got there: "This message is intended for *name*. The second you receive this message, I need you or your retained attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Sam Higgins. I'm calling from IRS Internal Revenue Service and hotline to my division is 585-633-1814. I repeat 585-633-1814. Don't try to disregard this message and do return the call as soon as possible before any legal litigations (sic) take place. We have determined that there is a deficiency in your income tax. Goodbye and take care." Total scripted BS using fear tactics to scam people who aren't thinking clearly. I tried returning the call from an office line at work to see how they answer, but it's a busy signal. :)

I just received the same call, claiming to be from IRS, using the name Sylvester Jones. Also having thick male Indian accent.

left last bit of msg...including take care...woman's voice...they are SO stupid...but I guess some people fall for it...

Man called saying I own it's and if I did not give him 1000 he could not stop me from going to jail.

Recorded message female voice telling me not to disregard the message and to call them back before they begin legal action.  Glad I looked here before I called back.
You would think the real IRS would take a dim view of someone claiming to be them.

This guy name mike davis called hundred times left a message re: IRS , i ignored it & irritated with him , i'm honest person /legal,IRS woould have sent me official letter if they want to deal with me.'m gonna blocked his # as soon as i got home.This man is crazy.
