Answered the call, it was somthing about credit card debt, I hung up

I tried calling this number  back immediately after a missed call, message is this number has  been  disconnected  or no longer is in service.  How can they make calls if the number has been disconnected o is no longer in service?  I have been receiving two or three calls a day.

Alex, from India, calling from computer support (yeah right). Tried something new. Told him I don't have a computer because they are evil, full of pornography, scams. He said, he never knew that, then I really threw him a curve ball and ended with conversation with "As-Salam Alaikum".

I've got a call from this number claiming they are from Windows Technician department. They called saying that there have been a report on their end that a virus have disrupted the Windows security software. They claim they are trying to help me by guiding me through steps to confirm the valid license security software is no longer running. The purpose of their call was to help resolve the issue of the virus was to renew my security software through their end; rather than through Microsoft. They claim a 2 year renewal charge would be $235 and lifetime renewal would be $480. Obviously, I knew this was a scam because Microsoft would never call you. They were pretty convincing despite the Indian accent but as soon as they mentioned a renewal fee, it's pretty obvious they're a scam. Why can't you renew your security license through Microsoft? The whole entire call sounded very urgent and it sounded like they were pressuring me to buy it right on the spot. I told them that I feel like they are forcing me to make a decision right away and after the woman on the phone defended herself stating that she haven't asked for any of my information or used remote service for me to accuse her of forcing me, the call got cut off. Be aware of this number (585-637-0915). If anyone call you with a similar story, ask as many questions as possible, don't follow their instructions to do anything on your computer. Ask for a call back number and their name.

I just got a call from here. Phone was not clear at all. Could Not understand anything that was said.

Odd event for yesterday, as this is the second 585 area code caller on the same day...the other number that hung up when my answering machine picked up was 585-243-9807. This caller also hung up when answering machine picked up. Never answer any unidentified/unknown calls, too many times in the past when I have answered - it is some political message/caller, a caller who wants to do some survey of some sort, or asking for donations/marketing something. So bottom line, I just choose not to answer anymore. Based on other comments left on this site - I am glad that I did not answer.

I got this call too.  When the woman said she was calling about my Windows computer.  I told her it must be a miracle because I don't have a computer and she disconnected.

i was not able to answer the call, they left me a massage claiming its the IRS, its final notice,  they are filing a law suite against me, and gave me this number to call them back 02 864 1303. any one knows that can not be a real number specially the IRS.
I did return the call, the number has been disconnected. I will also file a complaint with IRS, see if they could find who is doing this,

I just got the IRS version on voicemail.  Definitely a phishing scam.

I've got the same voice Mail claiming they are from irs and are filing a law suit against me.

It's a scummy scam line.

I just received the same call fm "IRS" claiming there was a huge law suit filed against me.   I knew it was a scam but didn't want to hang up until I heard it all.   Doesn't seem to help that my phone number is supposed to be filed to scare these voyeurs away.  It's not worrying me...but it is annoying.   IRS would  never use a "next number" machine to call with important information.
