When I answered I got a hand up.  Called back, the name on voicemail was 'Mountain West Research Center' so it was a RoboCall.  So much for the Do Not Call list :-(

Have received several calls that have no one on line.  On 2014-03-03 Monday 9:28 PM EST, I answered it again.  Male on line asked me if I wanted to participate in a survey and asked if I were a registered voter.  I replied that I do not want to take a political survey and that the only poll in which I wished to participate shall be an actual election.  He promptly hung up.  These repeated calls are bothersome.  They have not stated their business via voice mail, which is always an option.  If they had left a message with their business purpose, then I could have made this complaint after one call.  

Have this number on my caller ID constantly.   They don't leave a message.   Who is this?
We are on the Do not call list.   They called 2 times yesterday,  once at 9pm at night.

This was someone who had used a 'soundboard' on me.  I got called once, and they said, "hello, how are you today?" I responded back "Not good" in a firm tone because I didn't recognize the voice/number.  The response to that was an ethusiastic "Great!" They introduced themselves from the animal shelter and then they said that they had found my cat...  I hung up.  I thought I was being pranked on a radio show.  Sure enough, 30-45 minutes later, I got a call from them again.  It followed the exact script as before, except this time I answered "Horrible," the automated response said, "Great!" and then said that they had found my cat.  I responded back, "This isn't real, stop calling me!"  I hung up, and I haven't recieved a call back to date.  This was from 2/25/14.  I did try and call them back, and the number doesn't accept incoming calls.

I have had 3 calls from this number. I do not pick up the call. They never leave a message.

These are the same telemarketing scum that have called frequently from Michigan. The attorney general has been advised but refuses to take action. He is either too lazy to take action or is on the take from these interstate criminals. With the easy traceability of calls plus the charges by carriers for call blocking it is easy to rid the airwaves of these vermin.There is no such thing any longer as unidentifiable "spoofing".

Received call from 586-625-1589.  Did not answer.  No message left.  Call from MI.  Observed that others have received calls from this number also.

The never ending failure of DNC to stop these robo calls.  And they want to control healthcare.

Didn't pick up since the number wasn't recognized. They didn't leave a message. First time they called.

We keep getting these and they have left two messages speaking as if someone answered. They said they were from Mountain Research Center and want to speak with a Teamster member. Must be a telemarketer since they are not able to ask for a person by name. Unfortunately these research calls are allowed and not covered under the DNC.

I was getting the same harassing phone calls...daily! I found the website and called the number. I pressed option 8 to be removed from the calling list. There is also an email address. I just chose to call thinking it would be a faster way to be taken off the list. Hopefully it works! I'm tired of the calls..

These jerks keep calling my house and they've been calling non stop for a week. I never answer but they asked for me as if they were talking to someone on the other end.
My dad answered the phone and the people asked for me, but my dad said I wasn't here. So the person says they'll call back in an hour and dad says that they shouldn't because I was spending the night at a friends house (which I was).
So next time they call I'm going to answer and have a prank set up for them.

They have called me a couple of times a day for the past several days.  I refused to answer since I didn't know who it was, and they never left a message.  I finally answered it tonight, they asked for me by name but did not identify who they were.  As soon as they asked for me by name, I firmly told them that they've called repeatedly, stop calling, and take me off of their call list!  She didn't say anything else and hung up on me.  I've never been so happy to be hung up on!  =)   Oh, and thank you to the rest of the people that posted info as well!  It gave me the info I didn't have (who they were and that it was for sure spam).

They call from this number 1-2 times a day, once I answer they hang up!!!!!

Calling nightly, 9:00 also throughout the day.. Picked up once and got a beep with nothing but air noise... Losers.

586-625-1589 called 2 to 3 times daily for several days.  I finally blocked the caller.  They wanted to know if I wanted to participate in a political survey.  I said no and I hung up.  They kept calling back repeatedly. Who is going to stop these aggressive people, who?  Michigan Attorney General?   Governor of MI?

They call every evening, one or two times a night, and there's only ever a BEEP, like they're just tracking me. I hate it.
