I believe that after downloading an android app and loading it the app's software text-ed from my phone some message to get me signed up to pay 4.50 POUNDS per month for something i did not want or could afford! I tried phoning  a premium number that i found on a blog but they just kept me hanging on to the point i had to hang up - costing me more for nothing.

If what i am saying id true hundreds, maybe thousands of people possibly kids are being robbed on a massive scale!!!!

I'm now very wary of free apps that require access to my phone operation!

I was prompted by my mobile phone to turbo boost my mobile's battery by downloading a free android app. Downloading this app automatically sent a text message to 60133 (a premium rate message service). The message sent simply said Tips. I was completely oblivious to this until checking my messages later I found I had received a number of obvious / simple messages from 60133. The last one stating:

    FreeMsg:
Android Power User! Ur Subscribed at £4.50 per msg. 2 msg/mth to InfoMobiNow for Unlimited use until you send STOP to 60133.
    Helpline: 0808 234 6337.

I was shocked and immediately text STOP to 60133.
I received a reply informing me that I had unsubscribed and gave instructions on rejoining, some chance.
I spoke to three.co.uk, my service provider, they confirmed £4.50 had been charged to my account they also informed me that the service provider for 60133 is 08444 480 700.

Ive had same thing happen to me so ice reported them to payphone plus.
Guys/Girls u may find sending stop doesn't work. Here is a way to stop for good. Factory reset your phone u then must format ya memory card see when you clicked or installed the app it had somehow taken control of your phone so u will need to factory reset and format. You should also contact your suppler as they can stop premium messages leaving your phone it did for me. I today found my phone trying to send fp to 60133 but luckily my phone hadn't sent it i believe it stayed saying sending due to calling my suppler.  GUYS/GIRLS IF YOU HAVE HAD SAME THING HAPPEN CALL AND SEND STOP TO 60133 THEN CALL 0800 098 8515 DO DEMAND YOUR MONEY BACK. WHEN U HAVE IT BACK FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE AND FORMAT YOUR MEMORY CARD YES YOU WILL LOOSE ALL DATE BUT ISNT IT BETTER THAN LOOSING YOUR MONEY.

Below is a email Ive received from payphone plus

    Thank you for your email.
After receiving information from the provider, I have passed this matter to our Investigations team for further evaluation. This may take up to 14 weeks to complete.

Please read original entry...........     It is PHONEPAYPLUS that will help you NOT some American called PAYPHONE PLUS.

See http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/     which is "the organisation that regulates phone-paid services in the UK".         If they show an incorrect number then please tell them so that their service can improve.
