We have received 2-3 calls from this phone number; they never leave a message.  My wife did answer the call yesterday, and no one respond and the caller hung up.  It appears to be from Deerfield, MI and I do not know anyone in MI.

gotten two call in two days from this number, caller id says D Feild, no messages, etc etc. This company is extremely annoying...

it is a telemarketing company called Deerfield out of Deerfield, MI who is either ownedby or works with BMG Music.  They are calling to offer you a better membership in their music company if you are an existing member, an insensitive to get you back if you where a previous member, or in rare cases to get you to start a membership.  If you are on the no-call list and they still call you they can get in serious trouble for calling you so report them right away.

I GET A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER EVERY DAY. THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE BUT THE CALLER ID SAYS D FIELD

They're not in Michigan.  They're in Phoenix.  It's easy enough to look up the 602 area code and see it's assigned to Phoenix.

Also the do not call legislation allows anyone you currently do business with to call you.  If you did business with them in the last few months (don't know how many) they can call you.  If you call a company to ask about a product or service they offer, they can call you.  This also applies to anyone the company hires to call on their behalf.  BMG music hired Deerfield to call current and past members.

If you don't want them to call you, the best course of action is to politely ask them to take you off their calling list.  If you start cussing at them or otherwise are rude to them, the person who you talked to is more likely to "redial" your call meaning you'll be called again.

Also when you tell a telemarketer to take you off their calling list, it may take them several days to remove you from all their lists.  BMG may have you on several lists.  The person you talk to can immediately take you off the list they're calling.  However you may be on more than one BMG list.  It may be a few days before Deerfield's IT people get your name and number off all the lists.  Federal laws allow a telemarketer a reasonable amount of time to remove you from all their lists.

we receive several calls a day from this number...thank goodness for caller id, as we don't answer the phone if we do not know who it is.

Call their lovely secretary at (602) 246-2868 and tell her you want off their call list. She will be more than happy to remove you. Call her back just for the fun of it. I call her 2-3 times a day. It's starting to annoy her. Bummer, huh? :P

This company call me every evening around 8:30 p.m. they never leave a message, I do not answer my phone after 6p.m. but they don't care they just keep calling 7 days a week

I called the number back and it gave a recording from BMG. I was able to leave a message for them to take me off their call list but they said it could take up to 30 days. I sure hope this works

I am receiving calls from this company too.  caller ID lists them as Deerfield, I did a reverse number look up and found them to be out of Phoenix AZ.  I just dont answer the phone.

I have received many calls as well.  No response when you answer.  It is extremely frustrating.  Thank you to the "Down with BMG" posting. I did call the secretary and she said my number would be off their call list within 24 hours.           1 (602) 246-2868

I'm getting calls several times a day...when I pick up the phone..no one is there.
I called them back last week, telling them I am on a do not call list, and was assured I would be removed immediately.....
I'm still getting calls on a daily basis...I called back again today, and was assured once again it would be taken care of.
The number I called was 602-246-2868 and spoke to Honey.
It came up on my caller ID as:   DEARFIELD  602-246-1132

I have been getting a call from DEERFIELD 602-246-1132 this call is coming from Phoenix, AZ.  They don't leave a message...

I get calls from this number almost daily and sometimes twice!  I have caller ID so don't answer but today after they called I decided to google the number.  Can't believe how many hits I got!  Why would a company belive that irritating and annoying thousands of people is successful telemarketing?

I receive calls from this number weekly, I do not answer calls from numbers I do not know, thanks to Caller I.D. You would think that after weeks and months of not answering their phone calls, the calls would trickle to a stop, but sometimes I get 3-5 a day.
