got a text from this number, offering me a job, saying his name was chris???? i just ignored it!

received the text on my phone. Did not call back.

I received the same txt - "Hi my name is Chris, I'm a manager in charge of expansion.  P/T or F/t position available.  If interested please call me at 602-299-8734.  Thank you.
No company name left.

Same as above...# and txt. and I reported them to the FCC.

Also fyi ya'll if you didnt know this is an Arizona Area code.  602 is, and 480, and 623... thoes are the main ones.  There are little ones too but thoes are the major ones.  I know because I live here in Arizona.

I dont use my Cell for calling or subscribing, or playing games, or anything.  Noone has my number except a few friends and family.  And I dont post it online.

They are drycalling... Meaning going from example: 623-000-0000 to 623-000-0001 to 623-000-0002 and so on.  Because noone has it not even my own work.
Sadly NDCL doesnt cover this way of calling perse.... but still reporting it and getting it into the system is the way to do it.

A job...

I received a voice mail & *67 the call. It went directly to voice mail and their message did not identify the company name. I did not leave a message & then researched the number & see it is associated with scams. It is obvious now it was some time of auto-call, and the caller did not know my name. I was only intrigued because the message the supposed caller 'Chris' left was regarding employment, and I am in job search on several job boards.

I received a call from someone by the name of Chris. Stating he was referred to my number as someone looking for a part time or full time work. I asked him what company is he with. He said PSS Distribution Financial. He said the company is expanding into setting up retirement funds and college funds for low income and middle class people. I asked where the company is located. He said it is located on 27tg and Indian School Road. Major cross street is 24th street but it is located on 26th and Indian School. He wanted to set up an interview for 7:00 pm or 10 am on Saturday. I told him I was not be interested in the job. Who interviews during those hours. Weird!!!!!
If anyone speaks to this do not give him your real name. I gave him an incorrect name just because the entire thing sound fishy. This guy needs reporting to the authorities.

This sounds very fishy to me. I received a voicemail from this number saying the same thing everyone is reporting above (Chris, part-time or full-time employment being offered.)

I'm gainfully employed so I'd never call him back anyway. But in this economy, employers don't have to cold call strange people's cellphones for the purpose of finding employees. That this person or company is doing so is strongly suspicious to me. Please be careful and wary if you're thinking of calling them back.

Exactly the same as mine & nearly 2 years later?  Wow.  My vmail greeting clearly states that telemarketers need to hang up & never call back - don't leave a message.  I don't give out my cell number - it's for emergency outgoing calls only.  Obviously a scam that needs to be reported to the gov't.

Chris is with Primerica Financial Services.  Move on.  Trust me
