This is a subway restaurant; we have received several collect calls from this number.  Please take this number 417-732-1911 off of the list you have. We do not accept collect calls for any reason, who ever you are trying to reach at this number is unviable. Thank you.

We are being charged for "3" calls from this number on our Cox telephone bill. All were made on Dec. 16th. All 3 calls were 12:00 mins long, made back to back and cost $2.30 each. The cox bill heading reads "ZPDI Toll Charges: Billed on Behalf of Qwest Comm Corp. When I dial the #, I get a recording that it is out of service. The phone bill says the calls are coming from Ft. McDowell, AZ.

Joseph, I'm will to be that these are collect calls made from a correctional facility. Have you ever been asked to call a number starting with *72? If so, your phone number was forwarded to another number and prisoners are billing their collect calls to your number. This is a scam.

This is not a scam.  This is a call from a correctional facility.  Charges can be steep on this.  They call collect and the city is more than happy to charge up the wahzoo for this service.  We just paid over $18 for 8 calls at $2.30 a piece.  

So if you have family that are in correctional facilities often, be prepared to pay.  If not, consider it a wrong number dial and don't accept the charge.

Who is calling ? and WHY !  A will not ans. a call like this, and have how asked the States Atty. Gen. to look into I will lfile harassment charges.

Got a call from this number at 6:49AM and all it said was "Phoenix AZ" (Cox's Caller ID is garbage for details), so since it was local and insanely early, I answered. It was an automated "We have a collect call from (sounded like a female saying 'neepa' or probably 'need a..') then it cut off and gave me a fast busy. I never had a chance to say no, I do not accept. I called Cox to alert them I had an unknown call and this site reported it as a collect call from a local jail. If you can't recognize the voice in the recording, don't accept charges and follow up with your phone co. so they can note your acct.

My experience is essentially the same as the others listed in this blog.  I submitted a complaint to the correctional facility.
