Repeated calls with no one there when I answer.

CID said "Phoenix", no area code with phone number.  Guessing phone number was a spoof.  Was boiler room soliciting for some bogus law enforcement charity.

these people keep calling and you can never call them back but the worst part is they always hang up what do they want

Googled number...got to this site. Don't know what to do...SCARED!

Some man spekaing spanish  who claims last name is Macias said it was a courtesy call but never said from what company or organization.

I get a call from this number about 4 times a week. The CID says Phoenix and they always hang up when the answering machine picks up.

It is a soliciting company asking for "donations" for law enforcement.  They are very pushy and send you on a guilt trip even for agreeing to send money if they don't think it is enough.  Many articles say they only give 10% to the charity and keep the other 90% for themselves.  Some even claim operations cost more than what they collect (millions) and they don't have enough to give to the charity they claim to be collecting for at all.

I just got a call from this number 2- the guy said he was a trooper??? Kinda weird.

You are right. They pretended that they are troopers. Didn't tell me how he got my phone number. Might not actually called from Phoenix. Might be from Texas or Florida.

Do not give any of your personal info, address etc. Arizona State Attorney should do something.

Yeah, I just got a call from this number as well, it is a Phoenix area code. I answered but no one answered on the other end. I looked it up on the web and found this site, I 'm glad I know it is a bogus company.

They called wanting donations for law enforcement awarness - not legit! I called Nevada Injured Police Officer's Associaltion. They advised NOT to give any money, credit card or personal information over the phone!

Called last night and spoke with my daughter.  Asked for me by name but when my daughter told them I was sick and couldn't come to the phone they told her to tell me that they wanted to thank me for my service as a police officer.  How did they know I use to be a cop??  Got me pretty upset and when my husband called back the number last night it said that the mailbox was full.  Got another call today but didn't answer it.  When I called back the number it said that they caller wasn't available but I could leave a message....I just hung up

just got a call from this number. didnt get to it in time, no message left. just letting people know its still active.

they call me and when answer they say,, they need donations 4 some police dep. but is all lies they just want the money so don't listen to them....
