Its a law office trying to collect debts

It is the Wayne P. Marsh law firm collecting debts.  They're from Arizona and collect for PayPal and other credit cards holders.

This is a debt collector that can be very harassing, Calls years after the credit card companies have dismissed the debt. Vulture trying to pick off the bones. Don't answer or call back. Shady people.

Received a call from Jon Hester from the Law office of Wayne P. Marsh. Wayne P. Marsh is a law firm out of Arizona. This Jon Hester (if that is even his real name) says he needs to speak with me regarding a legal matter. I googled Wayne P. Marsh, and this firm has absolutely nothing to do with debt collecting, so I'm assuming this Jon Hester is not really from the Wayne P. Marsh law firm. These people lie to you, and try to scare you into giving them money. If they were legite, they would be able and willing to send documents with details. All they want is your credit card number or social security number. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO TO THESE PEOPLE! They are scammers.

caller claimed to be looking for a Margaret Shabala,,,,no such person lives here. I have had my phone number for 20 years, so it is unlikely a mix-up over a recycled number.

Strange, I've had the same number since 1979...Jon Hester calls, looking for someone else. Repeatedly.
And, there is the looking for some Russian-sounding woman...they just won't quit.

THERE IS A MR. THOMPSON CALLING ME FROM 602-429-0394, EXT. 416, HE IS CALLING MY CELLULAR AND MY WORK NUMBER EVERY DAY, TWICE A DAY!!!!!!  HE IS GOING TO GET ME IN TROUBLE  IF HE KEEPS CALLING ME AT WORK!!!!!  I WANT HIM TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place called my dad's house (where I haven't lived for 38 years) and told them I said to contact me there and that he was an attorney and it was important to reach me.  My dad gave him my unlisted phone number and the scammer called and left three messages 2 minutes apart.  Thank goodness for Call ID and answering machines.

I'll agree with you 100%. The're uncaring and have no regards for nothing... They also have gone into our private business..They have threaten my wife to the point that she was in tears being harrased by these people even 5 days after our daughters passing.. They don't care what your situation is,, All they want is your money....

these people are ruthless.. suffering the passing of our daughter. we're in morning and they had my wife in tears with no regards to that.. neither do they care that your on social security, they want money and that's all they want.. we also found that they have invaded our privacy threatening to take our vehicle and house.. the person calling us from this 6024290394 number is PABLO.. the phone calls are getting to much for us.. we have our phone ringing every 15-30 minutes every day with at least 2 messages from them.. man am i tired of this.. its gotten so bad that we don't even have the ringers on anymore. thank god for tv call caller id

The pattern of calls you  describe sounds like a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  I would encourage you to consult an attorney who practices consumer law.  The National Association of Consumer Advocates has a good directory of member attorneys in every state at www.naca.net
Most consumer attorneys will give a free consultation, and most of these cases are handled on a contingent fee basis - the lawyer doesn't get paid unless you win.  Even if you are not the person with the debt, you have a right to be free from such a harassment.  Unless people fight back against these bullies, they will keep on bullying people.

wayne p marsh is a collection atty who works purchased paper for a company called loan byers group llc..loan byers group purchases debt from major banks at cents on the dollar! in my short tenure with this firm i witnessed several violation types such as failure to disclose mini maranda, failure to disclose that all calls are recorded digitally and monitored, legall talk offs threatening judgement where statutes where expired..these violations were extremely common. the owners are a little scum bag named jim bracy and wayne p marsh pc....managers are danny macias and steve lemoine...

They called my brother and called his wifes parents house. They live fours hours away from me. i don't know how they there number or my brother. i thought they were real. I have a charged off credit card they are trying to collect. I am unemployed and get acheck once a week, and have a parent at rehab. They are dirty. tell me the lawyer was on site and would fill papers if we couldn't come to a payment arrangement. I will tell my bank not to let them have any money.

At 5:40 am a woman claiming to be from a law firm left a message on my answering machine in Sacramento CA saying they wanted David Mahoney to call them as soon as possible. There is no one named Mahoney in my household. The phone number they left is 602-429-0394.
This is at least the second time they have called and I consider it harassment.

I received a call from Marsh Law Group at 602-429-0394. I spoke to John Hester and Steven Lamoine, they were very professional and provided the information regardimg my delinquent account. They were able to tell me the last payment I made to the lender and when the account charged off. They were able to negotiate a great settlement for me and provided a letter to me before I paid and after they received my final payment I received an e-mail. I owed this money and was not trying to get away from my obligation like some other consumers out there. I am sure some there are alot of people out there that would rather try and bait or set up a legitmate law firm or collection agency hoping to try and get out from paying their debt rather than owning up to it and trying to resolve their obligatiom.

I have nothing bad to say about Marsh Law Group, they were professional and settled my debt and saved me money :"HOW CAN ANYONE COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT"

I don't even owe these people money. They're calling my cell phone looking for some chick that I've never heard of. The first time I called them to let them know they had the wrong number, they assured me they would remove my number from their listing. A month later they called again for the same girl. Again I was told they would remove my number. Five months and many calls from them later guess what, they're still harassing my vm for the wrong number!!!

Here's the deal.  Wayne P. Marsh law firm has a debt collection division.  They put together data files and have a list of phone numbers (don't know how they get them) of associates, family members, spouses, ex's etc.  The law firm contracts with "callers" to call all the phone numbers in the file trying to find the deadbeat.  My fiance' got a call looking for her ex mother in law from a divorce 32 years ago.  Go figure.  

Tell them to remove your number and they'll do it.  They did that for us.

This Wayne Marsh ... or whoever he really is ... calls several times a week ... sometimes two or three times in one day.  However, he doesn't ask for me.  He asks for someone named Michael Marsh ... someone I believe is a phony name used to entice me to call the office and say that there is no such person at this number, then, probably, try to worm a name and address from me as to who I am.  I believe I know what company that he is handling this for, however, it has also been sent to a REAL collection agency which has absolutely no office in Phoenix where this Attorney comes from.

Your response is bulls#@!t. This is exactly what someone from this law office would say to try and save its name. How can everyone posting have the same lousy experience except you?  And then go on to talk about things that the average person wouldn't say like: " am sure some there are alot of people out there that would rather try and bait or set up a legitmate law firm or collection agency hoping to try and get out from paying their debt rather than owning up to it and trying to resolve their obligatiom." Sounds scripted and just proof of this firms lack of integrity.

I'm currently having to deal with this company at the moment. I'm concerned as to why they don't have a website that I can go to or the only way I can make payments is by debit card or cash at a bank. They don't take money orders. So the story is I lived at an apartment complex in 2008 when I was under the age of 18. I was married but couldn't be a lease holder so I was put on there as a lease occupant. My ex said that he paid and they are saying he didn't and of course he doesnt have any reciepts or anything. They said that the apartment complex will only accept 3 payments and when I called the apartment to have some stuff faxed to me she said that she hasn't talked to them. I'm concerned that I'm being taken advantage of. They said that if a payment isn't made tomorrow that they will continue with the process of an end goal being court date, wages being garnished and our bank accounts being frozen. I let him know that I couldn't afford the $400 a month. Not that I'm trying to run from this but that this is simply out of my means. He said that he would let the attorney know and that they would move forward I feel like they are just trying to scare me into paying it. I sent them an email:

I would like you to send me an itemized list of everything I’m being charged with for the apartment #1012. My fax number that it can be sent to is xxx-xxx-xxxx. I would like to see this before a payment plan is set in place so I can be clear on everything I am being charged with. I would also like to request any and all legal paperwork regarding this case so my attorney can review it. Those papers can also be faxed to the fax number listed before. From now on I would like to only communicate through email as I have received too many phone calls while I’m at work. The emails that you can reach me at are xxxxxxx@yahoo.com and xxxxx@xxxxx.edu. Thank you from your time and I hope that we can come to an agreement that will fit both parties.


That way from now on I can have everything in writting. What are your thoughts on my situation
