Yeah I keep getting calls from this number...never anyone there.

Okay, I don't want my name in this but I can tell you who this is. It is a company called Progressive Collection Agency, I don't know who else they work for but I can tell you that they are contracted by Tempe City Court in Arizona, and that they have no regard for the laws that govern collections, neither the one that says you can't be harressed at work, nor those that govern how offensive of insulting they talk. They will call numerous times during work and use the excuse that they work for the court so the law does not apply to them. The are rude, they will insult you and if you're not cautious I've even had a friend that they called his supervisor to collect. I'm seeking legal recourse to so something, but right now I get 4-5 calls a day from these people, dispite the fact that I have already made arrangements with the court itself. They are based in Arizona (at least the one for the court is) and they do not follow any rule or law that applies to collection agencies.

Gotten about 3 missed calls from them, and when I finally answered, no one replied and hung up about 5 seconds later.

Harrassed, They called me aswell.... Call the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and tell them whats going on. I also made payment arrangements.. And now i'm being threatin by Online Collections which is another collection agentcy

i get these calls and a recorded voice asks me to hold. Then a live person comes on and asks for someone I have never heard of. They refuse to tell me who they are. I said I want my number removed and I am told they cannot remove it because it is on record as the contact number for the person they are looking for. This morning when they called I told them I want my number removed and the operator said I had to give her my PERSONAL INFORMATION to verify I am the wrong person and they will remove my number.

I have a Great phone that allows me to block any phone number from coming in. My dead beat step son gives all the collection people coming after him our number since he has none. Just blocked these folks..

is it your TELEPHONE or YOUR SERVICE that blocks the incoming calls?

I would be interested in more info on how yours works.

This company has been annoying us with phone calls off and on for several weeks now.  We have no overdue parking tickets or any debts it is somebody else they are looking for.  We are going to block them off very soon.  Getting tired of it.  We just don't pick up the phone at all when they call.

They call multiple times leave rude messages. I filed BK and all was discharged back in March 2011 the 1 year date of my BK. I am going to find someone who can help me file charges and stop the harassment I endure on a daily basis. Any ideas who can help???

Yeah, these collection jerks keep calling me and asking for someone who rented this house 27 years ago. I own the house and I have told them to stop calling, but they don't.  What a bunch of dummies.

Got a call from 602-453-8901 and I listened for the message and it was just silence then a hang up. On my caller ID it says Progressive Fin and the number. If it is a collection agency like some blogs say then why are they calling me, I don't owe any one money.

I've gotten a call from this number twice now and I've only had the number since Thursday (new cell phone/new provider for me) so they're obviously not looking for me but when I answered the call I got a recording saying someone would be with me shortly.  When I answered a second call I got the same recording so I waited to try to get a live person but the call disconnected.  I won't be answering it again.

follow-up:  I finally was able to get a live person when I answered the phone...the other day they called and left a sort of message so I decided to answer this time.  After finally getting a live person an annoyed-sounding woman said "Hello, Cody?" and I said there was no Cody at this number and she asked how I knew Cody.  I said I didn't and she apologized and said she would remove my number from their database.  You'd better, lady!

This number 602 453  8901 is the company called Progress Financial Services.
They will tell you that they were hired by a certain company regards to your
outstanding debts. In my case, it was the company called UNIVERSITY OF WASH. POLYCLINIC LAB.
which does not exist and trying to call from me through PROGRESS FINANCIAL SERVICES.
Progress Financial services, you are a BUM. You know everything is accessible these days and I do enquire
before making any payment. Said and done. Your are not getting any cent from me. And guessed what.
I will report your business to BBB. Better be careful who your messing with. Everyone, please do your homework before making any payment to a company you even know.

They try to trap you. I told them them who they were looking for was not available. They said is there a better time to call I said no what is this concerning. The lady said she could not discuss any information with meas I was not who they were looking for. I told her I was the power of attorney for said person. Then they asked me to fax in that paper that says I'm the power of attorney. I asked them for what? You're not forthcoming with the information you give out why should I jump to give you any? This went on for a minute until I got tired and hung up. Then I looked this number up and found that clearly it's fraudulent. I called back and yelled at the [***]

WOW..... I had an outstanding balance wity the COP traffic courts and yesterday I paid off my balnace and within .30 minutes Progressive started blowing up my phone.  I had spoken to them last year and informed them that as soon as I was able to pay off the ticket I would call and let them know, but I was told by the traffic court that I could pay my ticket in full online so I guess Progressive is pissed ......LOL too bad for them!!!

Approx 2 days ago - I started getting recorded calls from this number stating "this is a call from Progressive Financial for _______ ,if you are _________ ,please call us back at - (gives an 800 number) .. When it asks for ___ it is actually a blank pause no name for the person to whom they are calling.. So today I listened a little further and by doing so... according to them I have now admitted I am __________ .. great.. think next call will be reported to authorities.

Claimed to be a collection agency but I have no debts.  They were obviously trying to scam me for money.  When I got rude, they suddenly said I was the wrong Rick and hung up.  If I hadn't got rude with them, I probably would have been the right person and they would have scammed me out of money.....  DO NOT PAY.... MAJOR SCAM!!!!
