i get about 10 calls a day form these progressive jerks

you cant even tell em its the wrong number couse its a recording when you answer

they ruined this number . now i dont answer the phone unless its someone in my phone book...

i hope these people choke to death on their dinners tonight

I just called them back. It's Progressive Financial Services, whatever that is.
When she answered the phone she first said "May I have your Social Security Number?"
Are they kidding?!!!
She got rude when I told her this is a business and not to call here again.
She then said "Your husband works there, right?"
Who are these people? Bill colectors or insurance or what?

They are starting to piss me off. If it was that inportant why don't they leave a message.

I get calls from 9 am thru 9 pm from this number......the first time i answered it was a recording saying that all reps are busy please hold (?)   REALLY?????  So today i answered and got a real person asking for Ashley.  I told them they had the wrong number and to stop calling.  She got rude and said, "oh, you don't know an Ashley?"   Now this number is on my block list.

I know exacty what these guys are doing they have call centers everyware and they route there calls through an ultra peer network witch is the network server that shows you the 602-453-8903 number that displays on your caller id. I traced the number and it comes up

They also have it routed to a ultra peer in pensylania thats not coming up at this time.
This seems to be to protect there identity wich is not fair since they have yours they are normaly calling from your local area codes though. It just shows up like this on your id because they reroute there calls to through the peer to through you off. if you have magic jack like i do you can record them in turn with a 20.00 dollar extention software called magic features downloadable with a 7 day trial on cnet downloads.

Well, from their website it looks like they are not holding up to their motto.

These people call from 9am to 9pm every day.  When you answer, it is a recording asking you to stay on the line because their reps are busy with other customers.  The message keeps repeating and also says you are the next on line and apologizes for the wait; however, i never get a live person to answer.

I have also been receiving theses calls 5 times a day I have stopped answereing my phone also.  what is going on in this world do I have to have the number blocked

Same here these calls become annoying i guess we need to let the news media know about this and why are they asking for our ss# .  Is this a scam to steal our identiy.

This has just gotten out of control.  I wish the government would   monitor these companies that do this .  This world has become so unreal.

I got a similar call asking me for my social I said are you crazy I'm not ever giving that info out if you own an Android or iPhone there are about 100 apps that record entire conversations and them turn them over to the attorney generals office and let them take it from there because asking that kind of info and them if you can get them pissed off enough to say or do something illegal prosecute and sue!

I am getting a call from this institution and I have no business with them...How do I get rid of them?

I get calls from this number all day from morning unitl evening on my cell phone.  I have called ID and can now choose not to answer.  My cell phone is work issued and so of course my outgoing msg has my name and the co I work for and now they are calling all day long at my work.  I don't know what to do to make them stop calling.  THe law states they cannot call your work once you tell them your employeer does not allow it.  They do not care.  THey call anyway.  UUUURRRGGG.

What's up with this? I'm only 9 years old, almost 10-- and don't have any debts! Why keep calling me???

I am house/pet sitting while my friend is in the hospital and I answer the phone when it rings. A woman asked if she was speaking with my friend, I asked her to identify herself and she gave a first name and immediately asked for my friends SS#. Excuse me???? I told her I could not give that info and hung up. She called right back, this time irritated, called me by my friend's name, obviously thinking I was her.  I asked her the same question, to identify herself and to state her business. She said,  "Like I told you, it's Sarah something and it's regarding a personal business matter."  Once again asked for my friends SS#. I told her she gave me no real info about herself or the reason for the call and was asking very personal information that I could not and would not give her anyway. She began to get a bit huffy, I think they train these people to be aggressive and to try to be intimidating. Didn't work. I hung up. She will probably call again before I get a chance to post this.  They would get a lot further along with people if they toned things down. Who wants to talk to a jerk? She also interrupted me with her 'spiel' so she missed the chance to hear me tell her I was house sitting and I could pass on a message. My friend thinks it's a debt collector on a private student loan. The posts here state it is Progressive Financial Services, which is a debt collector in Arizona.
