caller id'ed  self as Progressive Financial

if you applied for a car loan recently these people are calling trying to collect a debt...its phishing and fraud..DONT PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION

how do I get them to stop calling my cell, they are not even asking for me

they called my cell and said I owed money for back taxes. I gave them my debit card # and made withdrawal dates for them to take money out of my checking. HOw stupid I feel! I called may bank after I reallized it and cancelled the transactions, but please be smarter than I was. Don't give them any info at all, it is a fraud!

these people called me and said i owe the AZ revenue dept a bunch of money.  when i asked for proof, they failed to give me any.  i haven't lived in AZ for over 10 years.  i don't owe anyone anything!  FRAUD!!!

Fraud.....Do not give them any information. Hang up.

This is a tax collector for state taxes owed. I actually received a notice from the IRS and everything and am very aware of the amount that I owe. The letter that Progressive sent me matched everything. I hate that they call so much tho!!!

I received a call from them saying that I owe such money from 2010, than they said I have owed from the last 10 yrs really. 2010 is not ten years. They were very rude saying to find the money from who can. They are Fraud.

They called me and asked if this was (my name) I said yes and they asked if #### was the last 4 of my ssn I said no and they reverified again that was not my ssn. Asked if some address was my address I said no again and they said they must have called the wrong number. They had my name but nothing else was my information.

This company calls several times a day, every day, and will not stop.  We have always been on the do not call registry.  This is harassment--please make them stop.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the last week and finally talked to someone today.  They said I owed back taxes in AZ but this is the first I've ever heard of it.  I did not give any information over the phone but they did have the last 4 of my social and home address.  I will check with the State of AZ to see if it's correct but this sounds fishy.

Received a call from this phone number, caller ID'd as Progressive Financial Services.  The recording asked for me by name.  I hung up and called the number back and the representative advised that they did not have my number in the system and didn't call me???  She asked for my social security number to help identify the reason they may have called.  I don't have any open accounts with this company and do not live in AZ, where they are located.  Sounds like a scam, I advised them NOT to call my number again.

So I get calls from Five Lakes Agency , a debt collector..they leave a number, i call back, they ask for my name and last 4, i say i don;t offer info like that to strangers. I ask who they are looking for, they won;t tell me. The following Monday I get a letter from said agency addressed to someone I do not know. They ask for my name and last 4 and I make it clear they sent letter to someone I don;t know. They ask if I opened it and I said no, I want to be able to use it in a court proceedding for harrassment and the judge can open it in court for all to see. i threaten to sue them.
 A day later i get calls from 602-453-8920....they ask for....SILENCE....then the recording says if I am not, to call back to 800-731-0236 (progressive finance) if I am not said person, hang up....then it says recording will pause for 3-2-1 seconds if I remain on them i acknowledge I am the person they are looking for or words to that effect! LMAO!

I am filling out a consumer complaint to ther State AGs office...then perhaps bringing a lawsuit against these folks for harrassment. their message is incomplete, they are fishing for someone, my last name is rather common, there are roughly 100 folks in my metro with the same last name and I am not related to a single one of them! I found the name they are looking for in the phone book, number and all.......can;t understand why they are calling me.....oh well, if I do take them to court, i'll let you all know! I may take them to small claims court so they have to show up or pay! Unbelievable..........

This person just called my cell phone and said: I need to speak to Jeanua Smith, last four #6758. Please confirm if this is your social security number.  I said who are you? She said please confirm the social security number. I said, NO, who are you. She replied Arriana Arreylos. I said from where. She said Progressive Financial. I said I have no holdings with you why are you calling me. She hung up the phone. We called the number back and a female answered, she wanted our information. We began asking her questions and she hung up on us.  We called again and asked for a supervisor citing we were unhappy with the recent activity. They put us on hold and disconnected.

Called. Did not leave message. This is the 1st call I have got from them.

Its all fraud guys, don't give them no information, they go by progressive financial services, inc, ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!

I  just got a call from them.  They left a 50 second message that sounded like a fax machine.

a man called from this number he was outside you know when the area and gave me some of my personal information and want me to pay a court building been sent to collections I told him to give me 20 days and I would pay the bill in the meantime I called the court they gave me the state agency number and said that no one should be contacted me and asking for payment verification over the phone

Immediately asked for my social security number to pull up my account.
I refused and told them they could use my phone number to pull it up since they were the ones who called me, they obviously had it.
Then they asked me to confirm my address. They already had it and wanted me to complete it. I declined. I told them I would like to know what debt I owed. They said only after confirming my info they would tell me. I told them to mail a notice to the address they had on file for me and I would respond by mail.
We will see what happens. Must be a scam. What debt collector doesn't want to tell you what debt they are collecting?
