I just got a call on my cell from this # as well (16:23 CDT), missed call. Tried to call back but constant busy. I also missed a similar call a week ago, same approx time from 623-587-9988 which I could not return. 10 days ago I answered a call from 719-948-9988 and was treated to a Spanish recording which I hung up on. Based on the last 4 digits I am going to assume these are all from the same company. With VoIP systems able to display whatever # they want for caller id these days (at least they were able to, not sure if it's been stopped yet) it sounds like the company is just changing what they're sending for the area code & prefix. I will be routing all numbers ending in 9988 to voicemail from now on though.

I received a call on my cell phone at 3.34pm today, July 24, 2008.  I did not answer it and no message was left.

I got a call from this number on July 22nd at 8:21 PM... I got AT&T.

its for sure spanish speaking. lots of static. good thing i understand spanish 100%. some staticy robot sounding conversation was already playing when i answered. it said to stay on the line to redeem prize. an operator came on seconds later asking who they have the "pleasure" of speaking with. haha! are you kidding. you called me! so i played dumb, asked them in ENGLISH how they got my number. she refused to try to understand me, or speak to me in english. just don't answer the call, it's bogus.

This number called me around 7 pm, central time. I didn't answer, but when I called it back, out of curiosity, it just had a busy signal. How annoying! Now it seems that I would have been better off NOT calling back... whoops!

ok i got this call a couple of days ago i answered and it didnt sound like spanish or a recording i kept asking who it was and they kept talking and then hung up but idk does anyone else find this really weird that someone is calling people and we have no idea who it is? well i just want it to stop because its really freaky! and i have alltel

Got this call July 23rd at 2:30pm Central Standard Time. I answered, after a brief pause, a very staticy message in computerized Spanish started speaking. It took me a while to realize that it was computerized, so I repeatedly asked "who is this?" in Spanish but to no avail. I stayed on the line about a 50 seconds after the voice stopped speaking and then I hung up.

I have Sprint and am in Chicago.

I got this call at 8:30PM on Thursday 7/24/08. Didn't answer because I saw it wasn't local and didn't recognize it. Apparently, lots of people got this intrusive phone call too. White Pages says the service provider is Qwest Corporation out of Phoenix, AZ but didn't list who the caller is.

Keep getting called by this number. The government traces everything else and monitors even us- why can't they trace this number and stop it???
