Human:Hello, do you want to lower your debt? (or at least that is what I think she said which applies to below as well)
M: Who am I speaking to?
H: This is Carrie, we spoke before. Are you ready to lower your debt?
M: No, I don't remember speaking to a Carrie.
H: We are large company. Maybe coworker...
M: what company is this?
Call ended.

Now I immediately knew this was a scam because I have not made any calls to anyone regarding a debt. My real concern here is that they may reach a person who has been making calls..and Carrie is such a common name. I fear the uniformed person, desperate to fix whatever it is that needs fixing, will fall into this trap and lose big. Isn't this illegal on some level? Its fraud. Conspiracy. Theft. All with intent.

I looked this number up and it comes from Errol, NH. And it said localtel rather than wireless etc. I'm sure cases like this are hard, because these bozo companies shut down and build up so fast. By the time the heat is on they're gone.

Hi, I have been getting calls from these people for months. Each time they leave a different company name and different phone number but the message is the exact same one you've described above. I am getting really frustrated as I've called them back several times and each time they've hung up on me when I asked to be removed from their list. My phone number is on the Do Not Call registry so I'm not sure why they are calling me to begin with. Today I emailed the BBB and am now emailing my attorney general. These people need to leave me alone.

I have had this call too, and they are very quick to hang up on you if you show any intelligence. I am calling the BBB, the police in NH, and anyone else that comes up to call. The fact that they lie about having spoken to us before, and having a file and options we've gone over previously and all, says it all. We need to shut these people down and hopefully get them some jail time.

I just called this number back about 10 times after being hung up on.  I finally got a woman who repeated my number and said she would take the number off the list.  I have also gotten the same calls from a cell phone CA number 909-842-8143.  I'm extremely frustrated.

Same here I just changed my landline # on Monday to a private # and 2 days later I'm getting calls from this fraudulent so called business. I'm flooding them with phone call after phone call and they just keep hanging up on me!!!

Same exact as Irritated Jackies comment, except I couldn't even understand his ? about debt? However, as soon as I said who am I speaking to....CLICK, i'M very uncomfortable mainly because I am not listed anywhere, and second I have no debt, which makes me wonder who their targeting & why?. Adding the block thru gov. again so after 30 days if they call, charges can be pressed!

Got several calls from this number! This is a scam to get your ID information! No one speaks good English and sounded like a Russian accent. I also am on the no call list home-business and cell!
I will be reporting this number and hope all that read this do the same.

The people that call me from this number are trying to get information about debt and giving me a high figure of money that they will give me for utilizing there company. Sounds like a fraudulent business tactic.

I've been getting calls from this number every few days at different hours of the day and night. They either hang up or I hear silence when I answer. Tried calling the number back a number of times and it will ring for several minutes, followed by a recorded message stating that the number is not in service. II have been on the Do Not Call registry for years. Today I reported them through http://www.donotcall.gov.

This number calls us constantly.  When we answer they hang up.  We call back the number to ask them to quit calling and a recording "you have reached a number that is no longer in service".  This message comes on immediately after this number just called our number.
