person can't tell me who they represent or original client is

I receive a call from this number at least 4 times a day primarily on my cell phone. This number also appears on my long distance carrier bill that I have to pay. Don't know who they are and need to know how to prevent future calls.

it is a debt collection company that has bought a account from some one you have done business with and owe them money. They call me all the time day and night so I googled what are the rules for dept collector and found alot of information that can stop    them from calling you your friend neighbors and your job. They are violating the rules big time and can be sued up to $1500 for each violation so talk to them keep record get a address names fax numbers etc and after collecting all the information file a complaint with the FCC and the FTC federal communications commission and the federal trade commission and they will tell you what you can do next

I got a cell phone 5 weeks ago. This caller has been driving me crazy ever since. It is a debt collector calling for someone who apparently owes them money. I explained that I am not the person they are looking for and that I do not not know them: I'd only been given the phone number a month ago with the new cell. They obviously did not listen or care because the person suddenly got nasty, accused me of lying, and said, "Well I am turning on the recorder now and am going to start documenting EVERYTHING you say!" I told her to go for it, that it was about time they  listened, and documenting me hopefully meant LISTENING. One can only hope, right? I have tried calling their number repeatedly but it is NEVER available.

Call them back at 800 279-9048 or (651) 483-8201 and tell them to stop calling.
If they continue to call, write a "cease and desist" letter and mail it "certified" mail...keep your receipt.

If you're feeling mischievous, talk to one of their reps and waste as much of their time as you can. Never act mad, annoyed or pestered... because that's what they want.
Before they hang up, tell them that you're looking forward to hearing from them again.
I've even called them just to let them know that "the check is in the mail" LOL.

no messages, they just hang up. they call every day at 8:15    12:15    7:15. right on time every day.

Well, I just got this cell phone a couple of days ago....nobody knows the number!  If this is a debt collector he'll have some time getting thru to me because I simply reject the calls!  I don't owe a soul!

How do we get their address to do this?

Receive calls from this number many times. Never left a message. Have reported it to my superiors and a case has been opened. I too have no debt and my voice message says my name.  One call is acceptable, but 15 is not.  Have printed out call log and each call will cost them $1,500.00.  Keep reporting these vultures if you also have no outstanding debt so we can bankrupt them.

We have always taken our obligations seriously, and owe no one.  I wish we would stop getting these annoying calls.  I never answer, because their listing comes up on my caller ID as "800 Service".  When I check the number, multiple phone numbers come up.  So I'm finally reporting them all.

This phone number calls my cell phone 10-12 times a day, morning, noon and night.  This has to STOP

With the east coast flood, do you think IC SYSTEM would leave the phone lines open for rescue work.  Not those jerks!!  Started calling at 9AM.  Hope their boss docks their pay for being late.  Maybe a disgrutled employee will postthe owners phone number in MN.

I keep getting calls from this #. No 1 leaves a message. I refuse to answer a call from some one that I don't know.

they called me @ work and harrassed me. I figure it's about time to call the FTC.
