We attended one of these from Wyndham Resorts before.  They offered us 2 free plane tickets and $100 gift card for a restaurant of our choice.  Yes, this is a high-pressure sales pitch.  Yes, it’s annoying and a pain in the a**.  You sit through the entire presentation (which took about 3 hours)… you finally get your “voucher” which is through another company.

The steps to get your free plane tickets (as I remember it):  
1) mail them your form (just to let them know you’re interested
2) wait for them to reply
3) let them know the exact dates and locations you’d like to travel to. The dates must be 6 months in advance, and you must stay for more than 4 days.
4) mail your dates and information to them (no, of course this can’t be done by phone)
5)  Pay the approx $70 worth of fees for them to process your tickets.

Oh, and you have to contact them and plan this all within a few weeks of attending the sales pitch.  

This was just what I remember from the description on the “voucher”.

The $100 gift card was for restaurant.com and can NOT be combined with restaurant.com’s deals.  If you’re familiar with restaurant.com, most of the gift certs you get have a minimum purchase at the restaurant. (usually about twice what the gift cert is for. So a $20 gift cert requires a $40 purchase)… and on top of that, you can BUY the gift certificates for pennies online.  

Bottom line, you not only will have to pay for part of your meal anyway, the “gift certificate” can be purchased for only a few dollars anyway.  

I can’t speak for the other “prizes” that they offer, but I can only imagine they are as worthless as the two they offered me.

Thank you dylan for your report. I got the same call as you did and offered me the same type of prize it got drawn from the Fair Oaks Mall. The woman named Emily explained details of the prize while I was driving so I told her I would call her back.When I called her back , there was only answering machine and the name of the company is JCS.. Anybody can call and they will hear the message. Another scam.

I have three messages on my voicemail fr this number with a rep saying I have a "gift on his desk" that I could possibly miss out on and I submitted my name through a pet expo (never went to a pet expo). The rep sounds like he's on something though because he's studdering and slurring through the message. Obv a sales pitch but not a very good telemarketer

Yup, I got a call from them saying I am entitled to some kind of vacation package (about 2 or 3 months ago). They said I have to come down and meet with them for an hour or so. I asked for a mail, to highlight all that was said to me over the phone but they said they can't send it via mail; it seemed like a scam or a total waste of time at best so I declined. I got a call from them again but didn't pick up this time.

Also called from 603-366-3005  and 603-366-3015 on behalf of Windham Vacation Resorts.  I told them to take me off their call lists, so now Windham Vacation Resorts is calling me directly from 888-964-6452 and 800-874-0802 saying that I've won a promotion.  That is on top of sending me junk mail in the actual mail.  They should try selling their timeshare packages to people who actually want the phone calls and paper to recycle.  Sheesh!
