What exactly was the reason for Canada's "Do Not Call" list??????????

Just got another one from them.
"Urgent call regarding my credit card account"
There are 2 options...... 1 to talk to someone and 2 to not get called again. But 2 doesn't work! Its an invalid entry! I too am on the no call list.... it seems to make no difference.

Yes, but it's a scammer, a crook, they have nothing to do with laws.

It was a scammer phishing for my personal and credit info. I played along giving him a fake expiration date for my fake BMO Mastercard and a fake birthdate for me. When he finally got around to asking for the account number on the card, I told him where he could put the phone, and it wasn't polite.
These people are crooks and have nothing to do with the the "do not call" list, because they are not law abiding to begin with.
He said it was the LOGO credit card services company.

Never got any of these crap calls until I joined the DO NOT CALL LIST!!!

Just got another call, one per month, pressed 2 for assistance , spoke to some Pakistani guy and asked him to remove my telephone number from there list... he Hong up on me...  if this has in front of me I would of slapped him around ...

It's from a scammer robocall urging you to press "1" to answer their "Final notice" to lower your credit card rates. I hung up on it.

I am wondering if this is planned for the call to report it on this form by the same individual.  Someone has to be paying the calls.

I picked it up and it said some garbage to do with your credit rating and this was my final notice.

I just hung up and wish that they do not call again.

They are nothing but a nuisance.

These morons called, I answer and there was no reply. They called again, this time after I answer the phone, I put my cat on, and she is very vocal. lol after two mins I heard dial tone.

no one there when I picked up.  I was hoping I may have won a cruise - but no luck!!!

I just got this call today, but I did not answer. They did not leave a message
I looked it up and it still comes up as M. Davey, even though it shows up on my call display as Unknown Name.
I am the same when it comes to numbers I do not recognize. I do not answer but then look up who it might be and phone them back if they seem legit.
Other site that help ID number say it is a Credit Card Fraud operation in India trying to get all your credit info.

Its being recorded as a scam here. They find out what c card company your with, then they give you what seems to be the start of you card number. (NOTE : All cards belonging to each card company usually start with the same 6 # or more) If you give them the rest, you've landed yourself in big trouble.
They most likely start cleaning out your account. Even telling them you don't have a card. They still call repeatedly.
Just don't answer.. if they find an active line, they add you to their calling list. GOOD LUCK !

This is #177 in a long series of received calls I have noted, with only about 40 being legitimate - although those include a few telemarketers, surveys, and political calls.  The nice thing about my Panasonic cordless phone is that I can block up to 30 numbers at a time, which I do immediately after checking the number with Google Search on my computer and determining if it is bogus or not.  I never answer the phone unless the caller is properly identified with caller ID, or I recognize the number on a list I keep by the phone.  If they don't leave a message, and they're not on my list, their number is immediately blocked.  When the blocked list reaches 30, I delete the first 20 numbers on the phone, knowing these scam numbers are seldom used for more than a month.  If you have a Panasonic cordless phone, type in #217 to see if it will block phone numbers.

They are trying to get your information, DO NOT give them anything. I asked them to remove my number and they started to say things that aren't inappropriate. file a complaint so they will call calling people
