this is from Guru Aid, a company that helps w/ Microsoft issues

They are not GuruAid, I have an account with GuruAid and called them on the number I have with my account.  They said it was not them, they do not contact customers, customers must contact them.

I got called from these guys a 5:00 a.m.  Can you pass on the real number for the real guru aid with microsoft support?  I actually need their help

FYI, it is a GURU Aid telephone number as I am looking at the Caller ID on my phone from a call from them when they called me back during a service call after being disconnected 606-834-1033.  It's even listed on my Caller ID as Guruaid

Is the number 1(866)539-0163 related to +60 6 834 1033? I was calling apple support about a problem purchasing from the App Store they said they were GuruAid. I waited a few minutes then received a call from the +60 6 834 1033. My instincts told me not to answer.

Silence might be a scam

No legitimate company would call at 5am, or In my case, 10:30pm. If they take control of your computer, they take control of your life.

I have received several calls from this number at all hours of day and night .   most recently at 3:45 AM !!!!!  
What reputable company calls in the middle of the night?  I have told them repeatedly to take me off their calling list to no avail....  How Do I stop them?

Called at 3:25 AM! Did not leave a message. Cannot be legit to call at that time.

I just got a call from it .....it is 19:26 now and i answered. no one spoke someone just sat and breathed into the microphone and when i phone it back it says invalid number

The # was calling us at 530AM!!!! By the time we realized the phone was ringing it had woken the kids.  My husband picked up and hung up so the phone in the kitchen would stop (only phone with ringer ON). Well they called right again!  So I answer and he starts saying something about computer help and I immediatly stop him to point out its 530 am!! Everyone's sleeping!!  He then claims they received a call from this # for computer help.  I get irate and say no one called you! Everyone is (was) sleeping!!! Don't ever call here again or I'm calling the police (then hung up).  Thanks for ruining my day and waking the baby!!!

They call me everyday! I told them to stop & remove my number but they keep calling. It needs to stop !!!!!

Called this company advertising themselves as Bitdefender Support.  I asked for my log in code, and he wanted me to give him remote access to my computer.  After I found the correct Bitdefender number, I told them what happened.  They could care less, which makes me wish to take my business elsewhere in the future.  Scary situation and end result for a Security Software Company.

Have been called several times from this number. No message. I saw the previous comments about Guru Aid, and I have used them about a year ago and paid a lot of money I should not have. I am guessing that it has been a year and they are trying to sucker me again.

I called thinking this number was my computer security company. They wanted me to pay a high amount and when I told them I couldn't afford it they dropped the price to half. They asked me if I lived alone and then asked my age because I had a "cute voice." Unprofessional. Creepy. Then they became angry when I turned my computer off shutting down their remote access and proceeded to call me a few times after and left a voicemail. They kept asking why why why and acted like I was the rude one for disconnecting. Very unsettling and creepy.

They are Indeed GuruAid Reps. GuruAid is a subsidary of Lester, Inc a multi million $$$ Indian company. The have purchased many US area code tele-rep numbers to contact clients or people who they try to swindle. THEY ARE NOT MICROSOFT OR APPLE REPS and are not affiliated with either companies. 1 Never use rheir services-it can cost much more than it should for repair. 2. They are like a fly trap and difficult to get off their radar!!! 3. Sadly to say, if you receive a long distant call or a call from an unknown code or number DO NOT ANSWER. Let it go to VM. If it is an inportant call a message will be left. These Reps do not leave messages.
