caller id showed "v12315124400011" and the number they called from. Caller talked about police officers and sounded like a donation phone call. I told the caller to remove our number from their calling list.

Just got this call on a SUNDAY at 10:43AM.  Caller ID said "A.F.P.O."  Since this DOES NOT MATCH what OTHER people have experienced in regard to this number, ("A.V.F.) I would SERIOUSLY DOUBT that this is a legitimate 'charity.'  LIKELY A SCAM.  REAL organizations don't change their Caller ID on a daily basis!  We let it go to the machine; four rings and then disconnect.  Our machine picks up at five!  Is it supposedly "American Federation of Police Officers" or "American Fraternity of Police Officers"???  SOUNDS good, but there IS NO SUCH LEGITIMATE ORGANIZATION.  Check it out for yourself:  www.charitynavigator.org.

Likely YET ANOTHER of the REYNOLDS FAMILY SCAM 'charities' which are ENRICHING the REYNOLDS FAMILY of Texas - and NOT the veterans they are PRETENDING to support.

Got this call on a Sunday night and it said AFPO.  we let it go to machine and they hung up

I pick up the phone, then hang up. That's it. They get charged for the call.

Got call from A.F.P.O. (607-230-5573) on several occasion without a response when the phone is answered.

Ready to blow a whistle in their ear. I am in  do not call list and they repeatedly call here.

I would like to find out who these people are!

Received a Sunday hang-up call from this group today.

This is not the first time they called.  The other numbers had been blocked on my call blocker.

I did some Internet searches and believe they are collecting donations for the "Association for Police Officers" located in Carmel, New York.  This appears to be a real organization with a website (http://afpohelps.com/) and listing on GuideStar and Charity Navigator.  The Charity Navigator listing is under the "Unrated Organizations" tab since the group did not collect enough money for a rating.  The website claims they have been around since 2006.

i didn't recognize the caller or number so didn't answer the call. they left no message on my answering machine

Supposedly soliciting donations for the  "American Federation of Police Officers" which doesn't exist. Phishing!

If this is that said association just look up their IRS form 990... Over 86% of their revenue, Your donations goes to fund raising fees!  Another $ 35,000 for expenses and just $ 21,000 out of the $ 401,000+ goes to causes.  Not a bad scam.

I didn't answer the phone but always check WhoCallsMe for unknown or questionable numbers.

I got this just now and it said A.F.P.O.  - picked up and hung up.
I do not give out my house number so this is not something I need.

I received both a V9122135320074 sep 12 at 9:30 pm and 6072035573 sep 12 and sep 13 (twice).  no one responded.

Many calls to 101 yr old.  Bothersome
