I get a strange call from this number several times a week in the evening.  Nobody speaks for some time and then an automated type voice says "Goodbye".  It freaks my son out and it happens to others in his school.  Who is it?

I was called in Switzerland from this number.
It was obviously a Phishing tel. call, as they were telling me, I had been downloading forbidden material, and they wanted to help me.
They pretended to see, that I had my computer on, that I was connected on the internet, and that they could see it, but that they would help me to get rid of the files, that could cause big problems, if I'd leave them there.
As a matter of fact, I had not been downloading anything, nor was I online...

They called and said it was from Microsoft and about my virus in my computer. Then I said where are you located if you are calling from Microsoft... uhh we are affiliated with Microsoft. You have a virus. What is the name of the virus?  Well maam, the hackers got into your computer and we were notified. So I asked "What kind of computer do I have?" uhh.. just a moment (put on hold) - next guy "I am Kerry Morrison (with a think Hindi accent and sounds of a call centre in the background). "You have a virus! The hackers got your Microsoft Windows". I don't have Microsoft, I have a MAC.  Then they hung up on me.

These guys are a scam linked to identity theft reported on the Phonebusters website for the Canadian RCMP.  Don't give them any information.  They want access to your computer.

Got a call from this number today despite my number listed as a DO NOT CALL.

I am really angry ... I have a plan to make him upset if he calls again.

I live in Denmark, Europe and he calls me too.
He does not say anything and after a while he hangs up.
Today he was on my voicemail with just a Hello, Hello...

Call from this number today at suppertime (Quebec Canada)  All he said is Hello mam, how are u and then hung up.  Caller had an accent like middle eastern.

I am currently regularly being called in Switzerland from this number. Luckily, we are not normally in at the time they call. We are on an official list forbidding marketing calls and I have already talked to the police and the local telephone operator, but there seems to be little that can be done. It's like spam except that you risk having to talk to these people.

I received a voice mail call from this number this morning saying a lawsuit would be filed under my name and social security if I did not respond within 24 hours.  I returned the call to 305-851-5580 the number I was told to call back and was informed I had taken out a payday advance for $600 and something and needed to make arrangements to pay it back.  I have turned these numbers over to the Federal Trade Commission.  They told me not to respond to any more of these calls.

This idiot calls me and leaves the following message... "Hello?  hello?  hello?  hello?  hello?  hello?  hello?hello?  hello?  hello? hello?  hello?  hello? hello?  hello?  hello?  hello? hello?  hello?  hello?  hello? hello?  hello?  hello? and then hangs up.

calls me too in toronto canada .4 times today alone from 2 numbers. they dont say nothing & after a bit of time you hear "goodbye"

I keep getting calls from these random numbers every morning...

I have concluded the reason for these calls is to build a call list to sell. The constant calling, The delay in talking. This is record how much they can bug you with future products. They are trolling for suckers. .......thanks

Am a Kenyan and I also got a call from this number and the caller had an Asian accent asking me which TV station I was watching the previous day so I told him him all and then started asking which City am based in that's when I hanged up.

This number pretends they are from Microsoft calling about something wrong with Windows. Such BS. The called ID said "Payphone". This is the first time they called. I just hang up and block the number.

So I got a call from this number tonight. It read "Pay Phone" on Caller ID. I answered it with my family in the room and I just thought it was a normal telemarketer. It was a strong Indian accent, the man said his name was Roger and he was calling about computers. I just said "everyone is sleeping right now, could you call back at a better time?" And he asked how old I was. (I'm only 16) but, I said I was 12 for him to just agree at calling back (or never calling again!) He said "You're 12? You're hot. Do you want to make friends with me?" I hung up before I could even hear another word he said. I am so creeped out & my family is disgusted!! DO NOT ANSWER FROM THIS NUMBER.

This guy sounds exactly the same as the Jan 22nd report above, except he said he was with Microsoft and my computer has been sending them error messages because someone hacked into my files.  When I questioned him and asked to speak to his supervisor, his accent (my first thought was from India or Pakistan) became very thick.  I hung up and this other number with a 315 area code called. The caller stated he was from California; according to reverse look up on 2 sites both callers were from the Syracuse area of New York.
