called at 8;15 am saying they are attempting to take funds from our checking account, law firm with a no name....calling on a cell phone that we have only had for two years...using throw a way phones, harassing a person on social security....need to be shut down.

This just happened to me too. The guy was cursing at me calling me every dirty, nasty name in the book. Who are they?

Yea called me too saying they filing charges against me and was gonna gurnish my checks and have someone 2 come to my job an embarass me.

I do not owe any debts, if i do they are very old and they are not even on my credit report which i have checked out.  But I am being threatened by these people. They are calling old employment numbers for me and leaving threatening messages. I have called my states attorney office and have filed a complaint and am waiting on paper work. I have also called my local sheriff department since I have been threatened. The number that is calling me is 607-595-0635 and they speak so fast about where they are from you can't understand them, they have called my relatives and all but have threatened them and go them all upset. This is not under the fair credit act. These people need to be shut down.

This same alleged "Bill Collector" called my mom at no a clock during the pm hours and left a message via voice mail stating the following, "His name is Michael Poplin w/Jacob, King & Associates. I called said number back at which he proceeded to harass, threaten to take my material possession also  alleging I had written bad checks... and bank fraud. Will pursue charges w/the following entities; local, county and state law enforcement and contact local FBI's Office to file official complaint... additionally must call Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as this is a matter that falls under FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practice Act) via the the FTC. In conclusion this is an idiot w/mad schemes and attempting to collect on non-existing debts; collecting information from various third parties via old documents which can be bought for pennies on the dollar by any collection agency and/or attorneys office. REPORT HIM AND FOLD HIM!!!!!

I received a call from a person who left a voicemail alleging very serious matter for an attorney's office:
Jacobs, Kane & Assoc.
I googled the name and found no such law firm??

This number has been calling me as well, and gave the same name and Law Firm name. He called a second time and completely exposed himself giving wrong information about what he claimed to know about me, and stating that I owe a bank money, which I do not, and threatened to file a fraud case and that I will face charges for illegal activity.  I have been harassed by scams like this before, which is why it raised a red flag with me.
