i got one today too, didn't leave a message ..not important no doubt!

Got a call from this phone number thrilled to see people have posted about it.... I live in India....

two days in a row yesterday I got a call  I did not pick up and called it back it was disconnected.
today a diffferent # at the same time called same thing. I have had issues in the past with people like this calling and attempting to get money for one reason or another. ITS a scam!!!!!!! do not pick up if you do not know the number. If you do please tell them your reporting them.

11/26/11 12:43PM caller id just said New York. Let the answer machine pick up no message.  We only answer numbers we recognize or identifies companies we do business with.

Got call from---- India??? (accent) asking about my computer- I hung up immediately- "scam 101"

hi this number keeps on calling my home and telling me there is something wrong with my cpu when my cpu is brand new and if there was something wrong with my cpu i would take it in to the cpu shop so who ever is calling my number and my home they better stop or they will be trace by cornwall police

Got a call at 9 P.M. from a guy with a India accent.  There was noise on the line so think the call came from India. I asked him where he was located, he said, California. Then I asked what ciy and he said, Nevada.  I told him I had friends in "Nevada, California."
The first thing he asked me was if I was the owner of this number then told me how malware had infected my computer.  He told me to Press the Windows Key and Letter R and then went on and on for 15 minutes the steps to "cure" my
infection.  Usually I hang up right away but this time I tried to keep this turkey on the line for as long as possible.
I told him I was following his orders but actually I was in bed.  I finally tired of playing the game so told him
my computer just suffered a Blue Screen of Death which he caused and therefore owed me a new one.
I figure he was after my hard drive contents. Wonder how many people fall for his con?

they said they were calling about my computer from the windows department...hung up after that.

I just got a call from a guy with an indian accent telling me he was with windows security - that my computer was sending error messages and that a virus was infecting my hard drive.  I told him that this was very interesting, but first, please will you tell me what my name is?  He seemed confused by this (which was my intent - the phone number came up as registered to a pay phone, and I know Microsoft is a big enough company to avoid such a situation.)  I repeated again, "tell me what my name is, if you're getting error messages from my computer and are calling as a result, you surely must know what my registered name is."

Too bad he hung up, I kinda enjoyed messing with him...   rwa

Got a call from the same number yesterday...did not pick it up...went to the machine
Yes they sounds like people from India...

Foreign accent said something was wrong with my computer. In knew it wasn't a legit call and hung up

I didn't pick up a call from this number, but I checked another site and it is a fellow with a heavy Indian accent, telling people that they have a virus in their computer and it is sending out emails to them.  He then asks for IP address.........  

This afternoon, I received another call from a New York number, so I picked it up, and it was another Indian guy.  He said he was calling about my computer.  I told him, I didn't own a computer, then complete silence............. I said, "Hello?......Hello?.........Hello?   and then he hung up.    That number from New York is:    516-746-9209.
So I'm just passing this along as well.  

Just got a call from the same number. Indian accent saying that he was calling from Microsoft and telling me my computer was infected. Didn't fall for it!! Definitely a scam!!

Aaaaaaahh, not the Cornwall Police!

Just had a call I said hello he said hello. I said hello again n then he hung up. Wasn't good at english with his hello

They are still at it.

They have been calling me for a while, I live in Sweden...

¡Hola! Soy de España. Recibí una llamada de este número el 19 de agosto de 2014. No lo cogí pues no suelo responder a llamadas con número que desconozco. He leído los mensajes que aparecen en esta página y me asombra saber que ¡¡llaman desde Nueva York!!. Parece que deben de ser los mismos que hoy, con número distinto (695677945) han vuelto a llamar porque esta vez he descolgado el teléfono sin ver el número de pantalla. Tardó un poco en responder y finalmente dijo algo así como "Hello. I'm calling you...". Como había leído estos comentarios hace unos días, respondí rápidamente: "Perdone, pero no lo entiendo. Se ha equivocado usted de número. Adiós" Y colgué. Me temo que seguirán molestando porque creo que emplean varios números en sus llamadas.

Says IRS about to sue me, left another phone # to called above #, said  dis connected.
