I also got call from this number. The lady claims to be calling from Windows service center and ask me to connect to their server to check my computer. This is really too dangerous once they take over the control of your computer.

    FURIOUS
Just got a call from this number, the first time they called I wasn't home to catch it. I looked it up online, and was aware that it was from a scammer. When I asked the gentelman, who did not identify himself, to remove my number from his list he kept saying (over and over) "why, I love you! why, I love you" I don't know what kind of a scam this is, or how they got my number but it is very frustrating! Apparently the "do not call" registry means nothing anymore as I get daily calls from some scam or another.

Mark (male voice, Indian accent), claiming to be from Windows Technical Support, called warning me that my computer was sending continuous error messages to them, and that indicated that my computer had malicious viruses, and was about to crash.    I needed to go to my computer and he would guide me through eliminating the viruses.    I got him off the phone because someone was knocking at my door.
He said he would call back in twenty minutes.    I called this number back and the phone company message said this number was out of service.

The oldest scam in the books.  Ignore them (or tease them into thinking you are buyint it but don't allow them access).

I am a German. I got a call from this number today. He introduced himself as a member of microsoft service in california. He told me that there are some serious warning messages on my computer and that he would like to repair that. I did not trust him, because I usually got online-messages from Microsoft if there is anything wrong. Then he gave me the following ID 00C04FD7D062, which should show me that he is calling from Microsoft. At once I called my eldest son an IT Eng. and MIB. He told me that this was a scam and that i should not do anything else.

I also received a call from the same telephone number. they lady told me that she was from Windows. I asked her to give the the company full name/address/main telephone number and her id#, she refused. She kept saying to me "turn your computer on and do as I say.", I told her to go F*****K herself and that I was aware of it being a scam. She then hung up the phone on me.

Windows errors on my computer, Oh My!
Played along with caller, male nice English, slight Indian accent, because Indians pride themselves on speaking English better than the English do!
Asked for what kind of errors, apparently "Volume errors", told him my volume was fine, and the sound was OK. He told me my computer was slow, and I said "It"s very fast, faster thers no problem" I then asked him if he would like my IP so he could connect and investigate the errors on my PC, to which he replied "can you see the Ctrl key and the Windows key?" I knew where he was going, Windows key and R key is a shortcut to the "Run" dialog box. My insistence to give him my IP must have freaked him, because he hung up. The IP I wanted to give him was 199.212.150.40, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
