I get this call at least 3 times a day lately.  I answer it and no one answers. Just a little while ago, I anwered it and after a small delay a woman'w voice said "hello."  Then she aburptly hung up.  I called back and got a recording that the number I dialed was not in service.

Why do these people bother to call you if they have nothing to say or alternatively do not leave a message?  What is the point of being on the DNC list?  Since I went on that I have had more nuisance calls than I did before I went on it.

I received a call from this number asking if I was the primary computer user.  The lady said she was from "Microsoft Defender" and that there may be some malicious files on my computer.  She asked my to turn on my computer, and she would guide me through the steps to clear them.  I asked for identification, and she said she had some Windows product license number that only I and Microsoft would have.

Hard to imagine that Windows would call 500,000,000 users individually to help them clean their computers.  

I suspect she would have had me look for some legitimate file, say "Aha! you are infected", and then had me download something from the web to clear it.

I had received multiple calls from this number in the past, the man on the other end was quite rude, enough so to the point I hung up after saying " don't call this number again " 30 seconds later he calls back... At that point I asked to speak with a manager but he wouldn't patch me through. I'm pretty sure this is a scam to buy software, he told me he got my number when I registered my windows 7, the funny thing is, the lan line he called me on I had connected 6 months after I purchased my computer and I never used my home phone for any contact information to anyone, I only use it to call family back home so 4 people have this number.I received a call today from these guys again, hung up on them with the same don't call back response, sorry for the vent.

I couldn't understand her at first and then she patched me through a "supervisor" who also had a very thick indian accept

I just got a call from this number. An Indian man told me to turn on my computer right away , it was infected with a virus and was going to crash. He said he was from Microsoft. I told him no, then he started talking in Indian language very rapidly to someone in the romm - I hung up. Beware.

Got this call and it came up as Malaysia. Didn't bother to answer.

this number called a senior citizen resident in sc - asked for Medicaid number and banking information. did not reveal true id- told resident they would get a new Medicaid card. Medicaid will NEVER ask for your number they ALREADY have it!!!! do not give your info out...

I got a call from this number.  It was some guy with an accent.  He told me that my computer had a virus and he NEEDED to help me.  I told him that my husband is a software engineer and that all of our computers work just fine.  I told the guy that I thought he was a hacker and he had the nerve to say my husband was a hacker.  I laughed at him and told him that I wasn't that stupid.  He then ranted at me about how I had to let him help me.  He finally hung up when I asked him where he was.

Said they was from Mircosoft and that I had a virus and was going to correct it after I do a few things to the computer

I attended a workshop of cyber crime and frm dere i got 2 know dat these are fake no.s and cant be traced and they call you to hack you phone or hack your computer so dont pick them up. (Install trucaller and add them to your spam list to help others) her are some other numbers from which i got calls:

Had a call on my mobile number in Sydney Australia - didnt answer as it was during the middle of the night - but glad to see its just some marketing company, so will block from now on

Just had this number call me concerning today, reclaiming PPI from my bank. Suffice to say, hung up, and added the number to my phone's block list.

fraud re: trying to get computer info!! Please get rid of this #!!!!

Received a phone call from this number (607) 756-9642 a few minutes ago. Person or Company name was "Unavailable", so I did not pick-up. A Womens voice left a message saying:

"Hello, we have been trying to reach you. This call is official and final notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you the IRS is filing a law suit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immeadiately at our department number (567) 258-0358, I repeat the number (567) 258-0358. Thank-you."

I looked-up this second number (567) 258-0358, and there is some interesting notes left from people being contacted by the IRS from this number. Number appears to be from either Ohio or New York?

A computerized woman's voice left a message on our answering machine; she said they are the IRS, have been trying many times to reach me, and they are filing a law suit against me. Told me to call 323-786-0730 for the information.  This is NOT how the IRS conducts business. This is not a legitimate call.

They just called my cellphone in Sweden. Dont ever answer this number

someone from this number, called, left an automated message that this is the last time the IRS will try to contact me before they file a lawsuit against me...said to call back 202-239-1440. False, scam.
