called to tell me my computer IP address was being hacked and that as a provider of service for Windows he could stop the attack.. I just need to give him control of my system!  Fat Chance bud

Told him it was a great scam and all and if i was having problems i would deal with it.. got rude to me and then he heard the slam of the reciever

Same thing happened to me (and from the same number.) He somehow knew my name and started telling me that I was being hacked. When I asked him his credentials, he called himself Brendan Fraiser from Windows.
After a while , I told him to back off but he started using rude language and I slammed the phone.

I got the same call as the messages above.  Man of Indian decent called from this telephone number saying that I had malicious viruses on my system and it was broadcasting malware everywhere.  Would I sign on to my computer and he would walk me though something.  I didn't really listen because I was already telling him I would not comply.  He is an unidentified person to me and that if I have a problem with my computer I would take it to a shop to have it scanned.  He began to tell me they would not be able to fix it, at which point I thanked him very much and hung up.  He did call right back but I let it go to voicemail of which he left none.

Got a call from this number today. Caller ID said New York. Man with Indian accent new my name and started asking me about some shopping mall. I couldn't understand most of what he said and figured it was just some sales/marketing scam, so hung up. He called back immediately from an "out of area" number and asked if we got disconnected. I hung up again. He hasn't called back.

Got hang up calls from this number today, which is why i wanted to know who it was.  It said "Payphone".

They keep calling me threating to put me in jail for not paying back a cash loan, that I never recieved.

Got a call from 607 767 0115, a number which is not in service when I checked., on 18.4.2012. I live in West London. Told me he was from Microsoft and that our computer had been hacked and now contained viruses. He was trying to get me to open computer and give details. Had heavy Indian a ccent , had an accomplice with south east asian accent. I was stupid and nearly got taken in. Got a call 19.4 from same number, this time an Indian woman.

DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR COMPUTER TO ANYONE CALLING FROM THIS NUMBER.

When I got this call I couldn't believe he could think I was so stupid. So I laughed at him for awhile the hung up on him. He didn't seem impressed by the laughing, but I couldn't hear exactly what he was saying. The jerk called me back that night at 11pm, I couldn't believe it.

I just receive a phone call from that number too. In my time zone it was almost 11 O'clock at night. The sound was really really bad and since I'm speaking french I asked for someone that speak french. Unfortunatly the guy was not there :) The same patern was said to me that it was urgent that my computer was attack. I told the girl that it was a pretty strange call and how did they get my number. After a few minutes with her I keept saying that it was a really strange call. She pass me a "technicien" I was not able to understand what he said and I was keeping tell him that I want to speak with someone in french and that was a really strange call so he told me that they will call me back ! For sure I won't answer the call. If you saw that number DO NOT answer !

I got a call from this number twice.. it is a total scam and very distrubing- i have no idea what they are trying to do. if you get this call again, report it to your countries/local anti-fraud agency

Got a call and call internet provider this is an internatinal fraud.Call coming from India probably.

My friend is in IT manager and told me  what was happening and that what they do is add a virus to your PC and their software is what is needed to fix it.... Hence they break it and want you to PAY THEM to fix it.  So when this indian man called i decided to aggreviate him by asking him questions like which computer... the windows computer....nice try buddy they all have windows so which one.... he eventually got so flustered with me HE HUNG UP.  LOL I'd gladly do it again

I got a call from these guys as well. But my call was a bit different. They said that they are amarketing company and that one of the clients would like to call me on future date (3-4 days Later). they propose a business partnership or something like that.
Im not sure but they seem like a bunch of scam artist. when I told them that the company is not in operation anymore and that I dont want to listen he was very upset and defensive. Strange. Anyway I think that these guys a scam artist and the best is to avoid answering.

Just got a call that was listed as "Payphone" on my caller ID.  I have relatives in NY so I answered it. When I answered no one was there and then they hung up.  When I called the number back it was a non-working number. Glad I researched it on "Whocallsme.com".  I won't be answering it a second time.  Thanks!!

Got also a phonecall this morning of this number, but did't answer! (Belgium)

Got call from the number early in the morning, did not say a word.

Got a call from this number this evening. Threatened to call the cops on them if they called back. They wanted me to give them info from the computer. Don't give them anything. Spoke with an Indian woman who barely could speak English. Definitely still in India. I wish they would bother their own country.

Got a call from this number at 11:36 pm on jan. 10, 2013. I didnt answer because i was in bed but i knew it was the same people that called me yeaterday from another payphone which is 1-718-758-9741. This number called me and said "I need you to turn on your computer because you have harmful files that need to be deleted" and i said who are you and they repeated the same thing and i was like WHO DO U WORK FOR annd they paused for a few seconds and said microsoft and i said its ridiculous youre calling at 10pm and they said we need to get rid of these files turn your computer on and ill walk you through the steps and i was like can u call at a decent time and they still repeated the same dang thing and i said im not doung this at this time and i said u have to call back. I knew this was a fraud i was just trying to see how long theyd keep this going for.
