Man called said he was with AC so I thought it was going to be an air conditioner call.....he called me by name and asked for money for Veterans....wanted to know if they could send me an envelope....told him I could not help......line went dead

Friday night, Feb 8, 2013.  Just got a call from this number.  it said New York Vietna on the display.   They did not leave a message

These creeps called mat 8:30 in the morning. Asked for my husband and said they were from some veterans group. When i was done yelling, he hung up.

this sucker called me at 8am now Im going to put them on the do not call list and then call the better BBB ..

Just got the call myself. Guy was talking over me and when I said I contribute to my own organizations he hung up on me.

Got a call tonight, they didn't leave a message  607-821-4927 I reported the number and what they are doing to the Vietnam Veterans of America,  who do have quite a few NY Chapters, and maybe they can help get rid of this annoyance.  

I contributed a sustantial amount to wounded warriors and now are getting these VERY annoying phone calls three times a day which I don't answer.How can these be stopped?

Thank you for your input.  I have received many calls.  I answered once and told them "my name" wasn't home.  I asked who was calling and they said "no message".  Warning - this scammer is very polite with a very pleasant voice.  I searched and they are from the Binghamton area

Caller ID says New York Vietnam.  Calls all the time...even before 9am.  I just pick it up and immediately hang it up.  Would love to block this and other repeat offenders, but Verizon says I would have to pay extra for each blocked number.  I can autoreject calls on my cell for free with Verizon Wireless, so they SHOULD be able to autoreject from my home phone.  Just another way to Verizon to overcharge, I guess.

This joker called...acted like he knew me...wanted to send me an envelope or card of some kind to donate money to Vietnam vets. I told him I was on a fixed income. That was fine with him, he said he'd send it anyway. I told him no. He said, and I quote: "I know you have a heart of gold, but not a pocket of gold, I'll send one to you anyway and you can donate....." I cut him off SCREAMING at him...."NO, NO, NO...I SAID NO!!! DO YOU HAVE A HEARING PROBLEM?" ....and I hung up. Reporting him to the DO NOT CALL registry, because I'm on it. Good luck with this idiot.

Who is this and why are they calling. Do not recognize number and they hang up when answering machine picks up/

I'd like to know who these people are as well. The ONE time I answered their call, the man on the phone said my name very robotically, and when I told him I contributed to my own organizations, he had the gall to fart at me on the phone. I am serious. I heard the phone scratch against something and then a fart noise. When I asked if he farted at me, the guy said, "Yes. That's from all the veterans you're not helping and you're now a fart face." Very unnecessary and not very polite. I will block their number.
