4 calls last 2 days - no messages - what's up

Call today and a woman asked me about a warranty on my 2000 Nissan.  I told her I no longer owned that car, and she then asked if I had another vehicle.  I said that I did not (untrue) and that i just walked everywhere.  She said thank you and hung up.  Had received a very similar call last week though a different number

These people do NOT remove your number from their Database--I just file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry and let the Do Not Call Registry fine the caller $200 per phone call after you initially tell them to stop calling and/or prosecution by a Law Enforcement Agency

My husband has received calls from this number and they don't say anything. His number is listed on Do Not Call , but this number still gets through!!

Your information is incorrect.  Since 2009, no one can call you to sell you something unless you have specifically given them your WRITTEN permission to do so.  You do not have to be on the Do Not Call list for this legislation to apply.  Once you have told them to stop calling you, they must do so immediately, not in a few days.  Even if you had a prior agreement, they must honor your request to stop calling.  I always ask these scam artists to mail me a copy of my written permission BEFORE I will speak to them.  They never call again.  See the Federal Trade Commission Facebook page for more info.
