HFS?  Hartford Financial Services?  DO NOT ANSWER!  You will get screamed at!  They called for someone who I don't live with or have contact with but I continued to get screamed at like it was my fault!

asked to talk to my wife lori said he was going to give her the oppurtunity to pay a dept before a lawsuit is filed and due to the legal matters he could not discuss anything without her consent. After I started asking him all kinds of questions like his name and what company he worked for and there phone number he got pissy with me cause I was asking too many questions and not answering his questions as to where he could contact her and what time she would be home and asked if some bogus number he said was hers which never was her number and tried to get her correct number he ended the call with I'll try back after 5pm and said you have yourself a nice day .... lol
BTW I'LL BE ANSWERING THE PHONE AT 5PM
AND HIS NAME IS RON FREEMAN WITH HFS I ASKED HIM 5 TIMES WHO HE WORKED HE SAID IT SO FAST AND SO GARBLED IT TOOK 5 TIMES TO UNDERSTAND IT HOPE HE HAS A NICE DAY

I keep getting calls from this number several times a week. Sometimes more than once a day.

My 86 year old mother who can barely operate her cell phone keeps getting calls from that number.  She has not answered.  Am glad to know what kind of scam it is.  Thanks.

This phone number is looking David Hansen who I don't know and they keep calling my phone seven, eight times a day even at night . Damn it !

It is  a debt collection agency, NOT a SCAM. They called me looking for the same named person but different SSN. Just ask if the last 4 is the same as yours, if so you might have a problem and want to look into it. They don't bother doing background checks and just find every person with the same name and start calling.

Spoke with my Attorney and this is a total SCAM, my Attorney could not find anything out about this company and has many other complaints about it...have reported to the FBI and BBB.  If you like contact an Attorney and they will give you the same information!!!

This Collection agency: Hartford Financial Services attempts to SCARE you by stating your account will be going to our legal department (LOL)  Other threats like We're preparing an affidavit for signature to be forwarded to an attorney for further action against you is a SCARE TACTIC!!!

I used to be a bill collector and I used these SAME lame %^$# lines.  I tried to tell the clown who called me he had the wrong number.  People, these collectors assume you do not know your rights.  If you owe the debt that's one thing, but you DO NOT have to take the calls.  Do this:  Send them a letter (CERTIFIED) with attention to Accounting Department  (no check) just a simple letter saying:

Dear (company name)  You are hereby informed to CEASE AND DESIST and and all phone communications with me as per my rights according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.(FDCPA)  The only avenue you may communicate with me is via USPS (United States Postal Service)  

Your failure to comply with this notice will be met swift action taken aganst your firm and EACH authorized representative as per the law for EACH infraction. In addition to you being reported to the governing authorities in your State as well as Federal.

I just called that number and some fellow name Robert answered, he was very evasive. I told him if they called one more time I would my laywer contact them. Now, we'll see if the calls stop.

I get at least 5 - 6 calls from this number each day. I do not answer numbers I do not know, therefore I don't know who it is. I wish they would quit calling though!

Called, left no message....I figure if it's important enough, they will leave a message....otherwise, I WILL NOT ANSWER  :)

What an unprofessional bunch of rude imbeciles!

"Dennis Mitchell" called here for a relative that has been married for years & has his own home.  When I asked why he was calling us, not his "client", he said my husband signed a legal document for this relative that Dennis had a copy of right in front of him.  He claimed the document was signed in 8/2007.

When I stated I'm the wife of the person he's calling & doubt my husband signed any legal document for a relative in 2007, Dennis backpedaled his story....  Now he said my husband was listed as a reference- BIG difference!  

Dennis started speaking over me & being rude, so I promptly slammed the phone down.  Low life, rude collection agency reps!

I have received  call from HFS and refused to give collectors name of whom i am speaking too, these immature debt collectors is rude. I said, to them I am disabled he said, i am making up excuses. Called back i am disabled and take my medications. Called back again, told them I am disabled and can't work and told me to find a job. Called back again, think spoken the supervisor told what happened. They said, its a federal for credit card, ( i don't think so) for legal matter. Will be writing to attorney general, ftc and dept of commerce for state of mn. They were rude

Identified himself as "London Hicks"...did you receive a call from this office?  Sounded like he had his mouth full.  Not very professional.  Didnt give him a chance to ask me for any information.

This number has been calling me everyday and never leaves a message. I finally answer and have to hit 0 to speak with someone. The person who answers didn't even give a name just said "Hi, did you receive a call from my office?' They were calling for my mother, I tell the guy this isn't her number and stop calling and he hung up on me! So I called back, hes all nice asked how I'm doing. I tell him was great until he hung up on me and he tells me it wasn't him, but it totally was. I tell him that number has been calling me everyday and never leaves a message and that I do not answer numbers I don't know. He laughs and starts asking why I don't answer numbers I don't know. I tell him anyone I know, I have their number in my phone and know who it is.. anyone else if they know me or need me will  LEAVE A MESSAGE, or shouldn't be calling me. He starts talking rude saying "oh so you just shut out the rest of the world?" WHAT? Then he starts over talking me and says something about a lawsuit for my mom and I should really listen. I told him he should listen to me because I had looked up this number online and read many reviews about how rude this person was and calling people all the time. Said again it was not my mothers number and asked how they even got my number. He starts yelling at me saying it was on some form and my mom needs to pay, i told him to never call again and hung up.
I could not believe this person. I have never had someone call me and yell like that. This is ridiculous and these people need to be reported and shut down!

Stop lying, stop cheating and stop stealing and you might get into Heaven! If you owe money and you know good and well that you owe it -- pay it back! You can lie to all the people on here even yourselves, but you cannot lie to God! Nobody should have to pay somebody to call and tell somebody that they owe money that they know they owe! God knows you owe money just like He knows anything else and you ain't not paying back because you do not have it, but because you do not want to pay it back and borrow more money still. That is stealing in its purest form! Thou shall not lie, steal, or kill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
