received call, didn't  answer 609 south jer. prefix 145, never heard of it.

found this number on my cell phone missed call

They won't leave me alone. 4 calls in two days.

This number will not stop calling not do they leave a message. I am on the do not call list but apparently it does not seem to matter!!

This number keeps calling me as well. When I call back it says you're call cannot be completed as dialed. Probably a phishing scam! Do not attempt to call this number! Do not share any personal info with this number! Call your bank and the security officer should be able to get law enforcement to shut it down!

This is a bogus call about reducing your electric bill.  It shows up three times per day.  "Julie," otherwise known as "Operator ID 212" asks if I have my electric bill handy.  When I say no she hangs up on me.

This is a phishing caller trying to your smart phone.. to get banking info. Put it on the block list!!!!!!

2 calls in 2 days to my BB and I'm in the 609 area code.

I keep getting a call from this number on my cell phone. Same thing...no answer.  Attempted to call the number and told it has been an incomplete call.

I have a 609 cell phone. Got several calls from that number this week alone, warning me about electric rate hikes, offering to connect me to their agent. Do not agree to be connected, and do not ask to be taken off their calling list -- either way you'd be confirming that your number is a "live one." Just hang up.

Instead, I just added that 609-145-8854 number to my "Call & Message Blocking" list in my Verizon Wireless account. It doesn't cost anything, but only lasts for 90 days at a time.

Here is how Verizon Wireless describes their call blocking service:

"You can block calls and message from up to 5 phone numbers at no charge.
Expiration. Blocks expire after 90 days. Be sure to reapply the block if you wish to continue the service restriction. To permanently block numbers, subscribe to Usage Controls."

Your wireless carrier might have a similar feature.

Received Private Caller Calls (3 in 1 week) & Now from 609-145-8854. I answered one of the private caller calls and it was a recording warning me about electric rate hikes, offering to connect me to their agent.  I hung up and have not answered and did not answer the other 2 private calls.  I've not received any messages from either the private callers or 609 numbers.

This number calls me CONSTANTLY and even if I answer, they never say anything!  I am on the do not call list and they do not care.  I wish we could stop them.  They should be fined!

They call me 2-3 times a day on my cell phone and my mother as well...this is very irritating, they do not even speak when you answer, so I stopped answering.

This company purports to represent various 3rd-party retail electricity suppliers.  I don't know whether that is true.  Whether or not it is true, they are harassing people with frequent phone calls and may be violating state/federal law.  I will bring this to the attention of the NJ AG's Consumer Affairs Division on Monday when I get back to work (I'm an attorney for the state).  Please post details about the calls so that I can provide the AG with as much information as possible.
