same here, just blank msg, with crowd in back ground

I got a call this morning. Asked for a co-worker, and as always, I tell these idiots that the person is away on vacation.  Maybe I need to get more creative with my answers ie, on safari, joined the cult or in witness protection program.  May as well have fun if they won't stop calling.

Got alot of calls lately no msg just hung up. Well today I picked up fast. They asked for me, I told them "he" was no longer here lady kept wanting to know more, so I told her he died... Short silience then she said I am so sorry, it will take up to 30 days to take his name off the list, and I'm so sorry for your loss. See and it only took a little white lie. PS I'm still alive!

I am elderly over age 80 and this number calls my home phone at least 3 times a day and I never answer and they never leave a message. No idea who they are but they are a pain in the rump. This has been going for at least the last two weeks and I want it to stop!

Wall Street Journal Spam. They never left a message, so how the hell could I have removed my phone number from their list 'nicely.' So in the end I picked up and had great difficulties to not yell at the person on the other side.

Really? I will never have anything to do with Wall Street Journal again. These people are so scary to call you multiple times without leaving any message. It's like they are stalking you. I also never got an email, so hell, this is spam.

We've been receiving two calls per day for a while now (land line).  As always, we never pick up; caller leaves no message.  Caller ID reads "Dow Jones."  We're not even recent subscribers to The Wall Street Journal.  I gave up reporting callers to the Do Not Call Registry, which could be making a good amount of money if they enforced their regulation.  I wonder if anyone there reads these blogs.  I've suggested in their comments box that they do so.

My new recorder msg reads:

Hi, you've reached the number you dialed. Leave a message or you will be blocked.

Called me AGAIN this evening. i finally decided to call the number back...it was an answering machine...identifying themselves as TLC calling for Dow Jones.
I was instructed to leave a message if I wanted a return call.
I left my number and a very angry message telling them to remove my number from their list as I did not ask for their calls and I no longer want them calling my home!

I received 4 calls today from this number and the calls were only 30 sec apart!!  
I have the calls blocked but they show up. ----------
I just received ANOTHER one while I was typing this (about 2 minutes from the last call)

They called me (with caller ID as DOW JONES) yesterday on home line that I checked today from missed call logs. They did not leave any number. Today I called from my Cell and one lady answered that blah blah law firm on behalf od DOW JONES. I asked her that I did receive a call from this number and calling back. She quickly hanged up. I have been receiving calls from different working or non-working numbers in last few weeks. My data/info is getting sold to these poor low life telemarketer like a hot cake. I am not sure if they are working from different boiler rooms or part fo same operation? One we idenfied in Vegas already. My local PD in on :) .

This caller shows as Dow Jones on caller ID. They never speak on voicemail, but sounds like a big call center in the background. They call 7 days a week at all times of the day and evening. I do not bother answering.

Hi, me too! It says GPI and I figured it was a spam call. Now I know its Dow Jones I'll answer and tell them to stop calling me at all hours. Thanks

Some guy with a thick accent asking for me. I hung up. They keep calling.
