They called I answered, no reply and then hanged up. Called back and said press any key to get of list?

Called Oct. 1 2013 around 1 PM. Went to voice mail. I got a recorded message offering a free security system if they could place a small sign on my lawn. "Press 1 to continue or 9 to be on our Do Not Call list." The beginning of the message was cut off, so I may have missed info about who they said they were.

Recorded message spam trying to sell a "new security system".  Sounds like a phishing scam

They called me and one of my co-workers on our company cell phones.  Didn't leave a message.

Same exact story. Wish I'd hung on long enough to hit '9' (though who knows if they really add you to Do Not Call list).

They tried to call my house and my cell number. I did not want anything from them. How did they get my private number. How can I stop them from calling?

Do not press anything. It's a scam and if you press any key it allows them access to your personal info.

Just got the same call. Thought about the major law suit against Bank of America for cold calling cell phones and the penalty they paid for that.  Then this message allowed me to press 9 to be placed on the do not call list.  This is probably their way around the law.

I called Verizon Wireless and asked them to block this number on all my cell phones and they did. Its a free service they provide.

Call your phone provider and ask them to block the number. Verizon did it for me for free.
