I got a call tonight. Lady asked for a person who does not live here. I thought it may be a scammer... she just hung up on me.

didnt answer

I receive this call daily - even on Sundays.  When we answer, they hang up.  It is quite annoying.

Ahh... mystery solved.  Just found this out by reading another google link.

i got this call too once i said hello they hung up if they want to sell something they shouldnt do that i want them to stop

they have been calling a few times a day; i don't answer.

No one speaks - caller id says Pennsylvania

get called every single weekday between 8:30 and 10:00 am EST.  I am on the Do Not Call registry.

Keep calling and when I answer, they hang up, freaking aggravating!

In spite of being on the "National Do Not Call Registry," my phone has been getting blown up at all hours of the day and night since the start of the new year from numerous telemarketing solicitors. Apparently, these organizations are not checking the NDNCR database every 31 days as the Federal Trade Commission requires by law. So, I have thus far registered two complaints on the donotcall.gov website. I'm not optimistic that will stop the calls, but it's worth a try. Also, some state public utility commissions have a "do not call" registry. You can go to www.naruc.org/commissions.cfm to see if your state does. Just click on your state when the U.S. map appears and it will take you to your state's website. How absolutely annoying to have privacy invaded this way. Makes me want to pay the extra money to get an unlisted number.
