Called us tonight at 8:30pm, but left no message. Caller ID reads: Breast Cancer S...

I just got a call from this number and the Caller ID showed Breast Cancer S. After reading the post here I'm glad I was fighting my answering machine trying to get it turned off so I could talk. I do know that 612 is a Minnesota area code, more specifically towards Minneapolis and the surrounding area. Another post I found elsewhere showed someone named Steve associated with this number.

What really ticks me off is I had a mammogram 2 weeks ago that showed a lump and a mass. The place I'll be following up though is not in Minnesota. People like these scammers need to get nailed. I have enough to deal with regarding this very issue and getting calls like this is beyond cruel.

I don't know what their parents didn't give them when they were children, but doing crap like this is inexcusable. Maybe to take my mind off my own problems I'll file a complaint against them and spread their number all over the place to blow their cover.

We are on the do not call list.

I received a call from these folks, did not answer and then called back to see who it is. Their message said that it is the Breast Cancer Society. I blocked all future calls from them. Thank heavens for modern technology. I would never contribute to anyone who solicits over the phone. A lot of so-called charities are just raising money for 'executive' salaries. The multiple sclerosis society, for example, plays its head hauncho over $400,000 per year.

Typical phone scum protocol: only talk, not listen.  Called back to be removed from the call list but mail box was conveniently full.  

Apparently there will be a next time.  

Just got a call from this number. They identified themself as a "professional fund raiser" raising money for women with breast cancer. I asked the question I ask every fund raiser caller.. "What precent goes to the cause?" They are required to answer this question. She said..I'm glad you asked...15%. The rest goes for fund raising!  In other words 85% to the person calling! What a scam!  Always ask this question when someone calls trying to solicit funds for any organization.

We got called this afternoon.  Their operator became abusive and rude when told we were not in a financial position to make any donations at the moment.  I have filed a complaint with the FTC regarding their violation of the Do Not Call Registry.

Got a call from this number asking for Charlene.  Get this call quite regularly asking for this same person.  They are rude to top it off.  Hanging up before get a chance to say do not call.  Won't make donation over the phone.  I know Breast Cancer is a good cause but, my husband made a one time donation by mail at one time.  They called all the time wondering where his next donation was.  He told them it was a one time donation.  They kept calling like a creditor and sending requests for donations in the mail.  Went a little over board and ended up upsetting both of us.  Money is tight for us too tight and the donation was something we could afford at the time.

Bogus called from something called the breast cancer society. First they asked for a Kathylyn, I said this is a non-profit that does pay for breast cancer bills, I have never heard of you, and you don't pay these bills. They hung up.

These idiots called me at 1am! My mother is a invalid & I'm really upset that they don't stop calling. What business or non profit agency calls this late at night? Stupid is what stupid does. Get real!

We have told these people at least 10-12 times, STOP CALLING !!! We give locally, and we do, but in person to people we know raising  money (as in Susan G Kommen 60 mile walk!).

Have asked specifically to talk to Tim - I have said several times that he doesn't live here anymore.  They still call and ask for Tim.   I think next time I'm going to push the button on an air horn that I have - maybe they will get the message that the air horn is just as annoying as their phone calls are!

These scumbags called at 1:03, I didn't answer. They called back at 3:29. Didn't answer. I wonder when they will call again. Luckily, my phone tells orally who is calling so I don't even have to reach for the phone when scammers call me.

I got a third call yesterday at 8:36 PM during a thunderstorm. I would not have answered during the storm even if it were someone I wanted to talk to. Anyhow, the number is now blocked, at least until they change the number. How can these crooks live with themselves when they bother folks at all hours of the day and night?
