I had a call too. they tried to tell me that I was late on my payment. I said I didn't think so. She said there was a 25.00 late fee and I said you need to remove it and she said ok. She wanted to know if I wanted to pay the amount due ( and she had the right amount) or more and I said I would be paying it the next day. I went home and looked at my bill it was not due until next month and was not late. Total scam. They said they were target. I don't think target call to collect bills.

I have also been receiving phone calls from this number at least two times a day. They do not leave a message. It is definitely annoying and they are now blocked! I do not know who it is and why they are calling me on my cell phone. Other people have blocked this number.

Confirming it's Target. They had un-enrolled me from paper statements so I was late paying because they didn't send me a bill. Since I have cognitive issues I choose to manage my bill payments via a paper system. I was not 'enrolled' in email alerts so how was I to know I was passed due? The deadbeat comments from trolls who have nothing better to do than come onto this site & abuse people are totally rude when Target might be at fault & are not notifying customers in an efficient, effective manner that they're late. A long call with an efficient, professional but unsympathetic agent got the late fee removed. They wanted me to pay the late payment & the next payment that wasn't due for 25 more days but I refused & they complied because they couldn't argue that was reasonable to require of me today. I told them how I had to Google them to find out who was calling me & she said they never leave messages.

We've been receiving calls all week telling us my wife was behind on her card, I told the women this is impossible, I have all the confirmations, she hung up.  I got another call Tuesday telling me my wifes card was shut off, I laughed at this women.  We went out shopping today and went directly to the customer service desk and the women told us theirs no problem, the card is up to date.  We walked in the door after shopping and it was Target.  This man was from India and he told me over and over this card was shut off, I told him, listen to me carefully.  We just went shopping and used the card and spent over $1,000.00 so bite my [***] and go straight to hell.  My wife called Target and spoke to a manager and told her theirs no problem with the card and they don't have anyone or does HSBC who handles Target work out of India.  So I went on line and used my credit card and paid it off and they are going to issue another one.  Be very careful when using your Target Card if you have one.

Target collection. Yes- I have a credit card. Yes- I was $10.00 short on my last payment but was willing to pay the late fee on the next bill. Man on the line talked really fast- kinda hard to understand him, and he wanted to know if I would give him my bank account access to pay the bill. I told him in light of the Target hacking I didn't feel comfortable doing that. He went from 1-10 in an instant! "So you think this is a fraudulent call?!!!"
I said that idea never occurred to me until he just mentioned it.
I calmed him down by saying that i didn't want my bank account tied to my Target account in case there are anymore hacking incidents in the FUTURE.
I promised to pay the outstanding amount before Christmas- which I did, and he promised me my credit would still be good.

    First time that's ever happened.

This number is 100% a scam. They called my phone 26 times last week. I answered the first call and the man stated I owed $63.00 for charges to my Target Red card. Before he could finish I lost my cool. I informed him that I have never in my six years as a card holder had a Target bill less than $200.00 nor have I ever been late on a payment. I drove to our Target and customer service informed me I was up to date and not the only person to have this issue. I provided the phone number to Target and our local police department.

I was getting a bunch of these calls and normally I didn't answer but due to a death in the family and being the contact I answered with out looking.  I was so frazzled with the person on the other end that I did give my account number...guess I will be going to the bank in the morning to put a block on my account!  I had not been late, that I was aware of but I was not 100% sure so I didn't want to get a blemish on my credit so I made a payment (but I have not seen the withdrawl from that account or any of my other accounts so that is a good sign)!  It almost makes you NOT want to have any credit cards period.

I have been receiving calls from this number,  Good thing I came to this site to check who it was!  I am not late on my Target Bill.  In fact, I always pay my bill weekly to drive my debt down.  That is four times the amount that a normal monthly bill would be for my.  Caution to those that get this call.  I too, did not answer, as I was busy at the time, but when I googled, as I do with all unknown numbers, I found this site.  Thanks for the heads up.  PS.  I did call the number on my Target card, and my account is just fine and paid ahead.
