Another person claiming to be a debt collector

I just received the same exact message but from an Anne Vets. She also did not address the message to anyone's attention or reference #.

Yeah, I got exactly the same message personalized to a person who doesn't live at this number (but has a similar name).  Clearly trying to create a sense of urgency.  Sounds like a scam posing as a debt collector.

Got the same message from a Susan Fitz no company name expecting me to call back. Scam for sure. Probably a debt collector praying on vunerable people. They called the wrong person.

I got the same message, but from Susan Becks. Is calling for a friend of mine on my phone.

The number is from a debt collector called "Midland Credit." They try to spoof their numbers. They are usually looking for someone else. They threaten to call your employer, threaten to go to your house and/or place of employment. Their phone provider is PEERLESS NETWORK OF MINNESOTA LLC - MN,222 S RIVERSIDE PLAZA,SUITE 2730,CHICAGO, IL,US - 60606-5808. Maybe if enough complaints are made to Peerless the calls will stop.

They have called my family (and extended) members with their "urgent" 'message. I called them back and a man answers without saying a company name. He asked me my name and social security number. When I wouldn't give him my social he started yelling at me and became threatening and hung up. This is definitely a scam. Debt collectors have to identify their company and their attempt to collect a debt.

Just called and left a partial msg.  I don't owe anyone, so I know it's not for me.  I blocked them, and whatever number they call from I'll block that too.

Same message as everyone else is getting.  However, I've checked credit reports on my end and know I don't owe anything.  So, I can confirm that this is a scam.

I don't know who this person is but they called my sister and left a voicemail stating that it was an urgent matter and a federal law confidential notice stating I need to get back to them by the end of business today either myself or my attorney.

this is happening to much! got the same message gave my full maiden name; and just last week i got a call on my alternate number i use thru wifi only and it was a voice mail stating that they are from the irs and i owe taxes and if i dont return the call i will be sent to jail. Go figure...But go ahead i'm so poor all they will get is embarrassed.

This is Midland Credit Management using underhanded and possibly illegal techniques. When are these idiots going to learn if you couldn't pay the debt then you probably can't pay it now much less have the money to hire an attorney to take the rest of any money you might have. The big lie is the economy is getting better all the time. Yeah for debt collectors.

i got a call to my home phone from susan fritz as well..left same message as stated above..i called back from my cell phone and no answer..they called my cell phone and left same message and i called back and they finally answered and i told them they did not need to call this number to remove from their scam list..she wanted to know who i was and i said it does not matter who i am dont call this number ever again that they were a bunch of scammers and i wanted off of the list..
