Called and when I answered, heard nothing at first and then the tone of a call being disconnected.

It's Xcel Energy.  Your bill is overdue, and they are close to a shut-off notice.

They called, didn't leave a message.  Strange part: I don't live in an area with Xcel.  I have another energy company.  Wrong number?

i live in ohio and this number keeps calling me. i do not have a bill from them. perhaps a scam.

This number called me WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH XCEL ENERGY because the electricity was knocked out to my house (not related to my bill).  I was calling from a friend's phone, and the guy on the other end asked to "confirm my number," so I gave it to him. I wonder if it didn't go straight into some automated database to then call me because I'm a few days late on my (very small balance) bill.

Definitely Xcel Energy - sleazebags.

I don't have an account with XCel Energy, but had a missed call from this number at 7:00 this morning. How odd.

This is a scam. There was a recorrding telling me that I was going to be disconnected in 30 minutes because my bill was late. I called Xcel after the message ended... My balance was at $0.00 and they said it was a scam. I did not call the number they left but it was an 800-507....

Jackholes tried to bilk me $210.67. This is a scam call--I called up Xcel and they said my account was 100% paid up and they would have notified me by mail if they were going to disconnect. They reported this to the police. They gave me a 1800 number and extension with which to get ahold of them. Tried to get me to pay them through an app called Cash App.
