He said his name was Jim Warner and wanted to know if I had over $10,000.00 in debt such as credit cards, mortgage, car payments.  I asked why he wanted to know; said he could help if I had such debt.  I told him he was invading my privacy rights and told to him to hand up and call some other person who could be his ginny pig.  He did not tell me the name of his company or who he was representing.  Guess he was going to pay all my bills for me!!

I got a call from this number ; when I answered there was no response.

Called twice in a row, hung up both times after the first ring.

Called my number, but didn't leave a message. I don't answer unknown numbers...

I think that I have it figured out. I get a lot of calls from insurance and financial scammers. It has happened the last two times when I shopped my auto insurance with Farmer's. The must sell the info.

I hope someone reads this and learns from it, and, passes it on.
Every time you give ANY company your email, phone number, cell number or address, it will be sold or traded.
People fall for the FBI scam, or you get an email from someone saying they are representing someone in some foreign bank. If someone tells you, you may have lost money, go to the place yourself. These are all SCAMS.
Never give out ANY information to anyone on the phone or online. You DON'T know who's on the other end. And once you post it on the internet, anyone can steal it.

@rick...I have gotten calls from this number three times---and have never ever dealt with farmers insurance...so it must be coming from another source as well

How to get rid of telemarketers that use mass-calling via VOIP:
1. Listen for the ``bloop'' tone before anybody starts speaking.
2. Talk over the top of the other person and say:
   Thank you for calling. This call is recorded for quality assurance. How may i direct your call?
3. If they start speaking, repeat the phrase until they hang up.
4. If they don't hang up, then say: Your noncompliance is being recorded and will be reported to your superiors
   as well as to the Federal Communications Commission as well as other interested parties for prosecutorial action.
   Please disconnect now and remove this number from all databases.
5. If they STILL keep talking, blow a referee's whistle , air horn or other ear-splitting device LOUDLY into the receiver
6. Do this often enough and to enough people and they will flag your number as ``unreachable.''
7. When they sell their lists, your number will now be flagged as such. Better than the DNC list.

This number called my cell phone, but I did not answer.  If I do not recognize the out-of-state phone number, then I do not answer the call.

Had a call from this number. They are now blocked. My insurance was backed by Farmers.

Called me on 4/22/14 the  first time. A rude insolent woman told me there was a criminal lawsuit against me here in Virginia Beach, VA and that I was being sued by Capital One, who I have a credit card with.  I called Capital One, and of course they are not suing me.  Capital One told me it was a scam and NOT  to not give any info about me to them.  The scammer woman then the asked to confirm my SSN, which she ALREADY HAD! I did call my attorney about this call, and she looked up the phone number on the Internet.  It is noted in Google that the number is a scam number and to ignore whatever the clam, ie, you're being sued.  Total hoax and scan.  These scumbags must be turned to the FTC!  Their phone number is 320-629-7946

Another scam call, from Customer Care out of Minnesota.  Phone number listed above.I called them back, and I was not connected.  

612-351-3173 - I did not answer the call as it is an unknown number to me - the number is now BLOCKED.

Got the call 5 mins ago.....next time, im gonna put the phone on hold and then place it on a speaker and turn it up full blast.....it works. He will soon get fed up with an ear ache....unless he s into pain.

Calls me around 11am for the last few days never leaves a message but is always a recording about money (loan) and I believe they are also related to a Georgia based number 404-400-1192
